Chapter 34- Drawing Flynn...Ya Screw it Up and He Still Looks Gorgeous!

July 21st, 2012

This morning Al and I headed to DHS on our own. We walked there and got there a little before 9 A.M. There were morning EMH but we walked right in. YAY for resort perks!

The first order of business was TSM FP's, and then we headed to Starring Rolls for some really unhealthy breakfast.

Allie got her traditional chocolate croissant:

She actually had two because she was really hungry LOL.

I wanted the marble cupcake, but it sadly was gone. I settled for the carrot cake cupcake (its replacement) instead:

This was really good! I was pleasantly surprised. The frosting was delicious, and I loved all the Mickey sprinkles. YUM YUM YUM.

We enjoyed our "breakfast" and then went on Star Tours!

Then we said hello to some of our favorite people at the Hall of Fame!

After that, we headed to the animation building for the drawing class. We ended up drawing Flynn! It was more complicated than the usual characters but it was so fun! Allie's turned out really well!

After that we looked around some of the stores.

Allie thought my bun looked like Mickey ears or a bow or something, so she took a picture.

I believe Allie bought the "I'll be your Mickey/Minnie" shirts for her and Ben in that store.

After that we went to One Man's Dream to kill time before our TSM Fastpasses.

Off to Pixar Place!

At some point, we went to the Writer's Stop. I have no recollection as to when this happened, but here's Al reading a book:

Meanwhile in EPCOT, the Units were having a very precious meet-and-greet with the big guy himself!

We headed out of DHS and took a Friendship Boat to EPCOT! We were walking to meet up with the Units in Italy, and I sort of lost Allie at one point because I was walking so fast. I ended up stopping at Mitsukoshi, but we eventually all met up in the same place for our lunch ADR.

Holy updates!

If it makes you feel any better, AP US History remains to this day the hardest class I have ever taken (even including my College classes.) It is ridiculous. And you should be insanely proud of yourselves for getting 3s on the test!

Chapter 35- Birthday Confusion

July 21st, 2012

We were all having lunch at Via Napoli!

We were seated in the center of the restaurant by the pizza ovens, and our sever was a girl. Darn.

She brought us bread, and our water boy brought our drinks. His name was Lorenzo. Sooo cute.

Timmy ordered the Minestrone and the Arancini.

Sharon enjoyed her own Quattro Formaggi pizza:

Allie and I got a pizza to share!

Her half was onions, my half was Margherita.

It was so yummy!!

YAY Via Napoli. It's so delicious.

At the end of the meal, some of the staff came out with a birthday dessert. I looked around to see who it was for and then realized that it was for me. I was wearing my birthday button, but that only because my dress was too low cute, I needed something to hold it together, and I couldn't find a safety pin that morning.

Oops.

Well yay for free birthday dessert!

After lunch, Al and I headed back through World Showcase. Fife & Drum was out and about.

We went to Mitsukoshi, where we came across this AWESOME monorail dish. It was $40, so no way was I buying it, but it was just SO cool.

While we were there I bought some of my favorite Japanese foods.

Then we trekked it back to the Boardwalk, where I noticed that the amount of water bottles we had consumed over the week was a little insane.

That wasn't even all of them. AND we refilled once in a while.

I was trying to gather up my stuff a little (because I had to pack later sadness) and we noticed that one of our wands was stuck behind the dresser drawer. We ended up using tongs and some random other stuff to try and get it out, and Sharon was the one who was eventually successful.

FART. SHOES.

Also, apparently Jasmine, Allie and I are failures.

Such a self-esteem boost.

Eventually we were all ready to go so we drove over to Downtown Disney!

The first order of business was the Photopass place at Guest Relations. Allie and I chose a couple photos that we wanted for prints.

After that we went to World of Disney to look at the awesome merchandise.

We saw this mulch animation outside:

Cast members are so awesome.

Pretty soon it was time for our dinner ADR at Captain Jack's! We headed over, checked in and were seated at a lovely window table! I loved the feel of that place and how you're right on the water.

Aww thank you so much! I love all the Loreal products. I find that they work really well. Disclaimer: I also just have long lashes to begin with LOL.

They only have them at the Boardwalk Bakery! Trust me on this: it's worth the trip just for those!​

I'm not sure what the record is for most updates in one day on a DISboards trip report but you must have at least come close to it if not having actually broken it! Chapter 36- "Prostate Exam for Mr. Lemiesz..."

July 21st, 2012

With my dinner I ordered a Mega Berry Smoothie, which felt really good on my throat.

For my meal, I had the clam chowder and a side salad. Doesn't sound like much but it was really good and definitely hit the spot!

Al ordered the artichoke dip for her meal, which she loved!

Can you tell we were hitting a food wall?

I'm pretty sure Sharon had this caesar salad...

Either that or Allie had it with her meal and in that case I have NO clue what Sharon had. Ah well.

SOMEONE ATE A CAESAR SALAD.

End of story.

Timmy got the crab cakes for his meal, which looked excellent! I'm pretty sure they tasted excellent too.

We passed on dessert because we had bigger plans! Ghiradelli time!

Allie got cookies and cream in a dish:

And I got cookie dough in a waffle cone!

We had some table struggles at first, but eventually we landed one inside!

We enjoyed our ice cream and then we all drove back to the Boardwalk.

The Units headed to EPCOT, but Al and I decided to just hang out for the evening.

We decided to go to Community Hall and rent a movie.

It was a nice little stroll.

We loved the binders that you chose from!

Al and I decided on a total classic, one that I was basically raised on. Father of the Bride: Part 2.

We went back up to the villa and started to round up all the souvenirs...including the weird ones...

I took a shower while Allie started organizing her stuff. Then Al took a shower while I packed completely. I liked having it done the night before so I didn't have to worry about it in the morning. We got all PJ'd up and started our movie!

At one point in the movie, when Steve Martin took too many sleeping pills and they're at the hospital, the nurse goes, "I have a prostate exam for Mr. Lemiesz" and then proceeds to assume that Steve Martin is that guy.

Well, I had never really noticed the name that she said before then.

Remember the incompetent APUSH teacher. YEAH WELL THAT'S HIS NAME.

Allie and I literally did one of those slow head turns to each other and then we just BURST OUT LAUGHING.

It was HILARIOUS. We could not stop laughing. We had to pause the movie for a few minutes. We thought it was so funny.

LAWLS.

After that little episode, we decided that all of the laughing made us hungry. Time to class it up and go down to the Boardwalk in our pajamas!

Allie looked a little more normal than me, as she was wearing a t-shirt and like blue Hollister comfy shorts. I, on the other hand, was wearing full-on Minnie Mouse pajama pants. It was hilarious.

Ah well. YOLO.

We grabbed a couple things from the bakery and then headed over to watch a street performer. We saw the Units there and Sharon took our picture with him after. IN OUR PAJAMAS.

LOL what is life.

We went back up to the room and enjoyed our dessert #2 of the evening.

Allie had an Oreo Bon-Bon cupcake (the picture of which has been shunned by Imageshack and is therefore not shown) which she LOVED. She was obsessed with it.

I had a classic Boardwalk dessert, one which recently made a reappearance there. The peanut butter cake!

MAN that was good! The flavors were perfect, nothing was overpowering, and it was just so yummy. I can see why people wanted it back!

We also had microwave popcorn at one point, I don't even know when. WE JUST NEVER STOPPED EATING.

YAY movie night!

Once the movie was over, we went to sleep. Tomorrow was leaving Disney day.

Chapter 37- Olivia's!

July 22nd, 2012

This morning I woke up around 8 and got ready. Here's my nice neat section with all of my stuff completely packed:

It looked worse the night before lol.

While Allie was finishing packing, I volunteered to take the movie back to Community Hall. I had a nice little stroll and soaked up some final Disney morning magic.

I dropped off the movie and headed back. We rounded up the luggage and took it downstairs and outside to the airline check-in, where we checked in for our flight AND checked our luggage! How wonderfully efficient.

Al and I didn't wanna leave. ):

Luckily, we still had a few hours left in Disney! We drove over to Old Key West for a breakfast ADR at Olivia's!

I am OBSESSED with the theming there. It's so perfect.

We went inside, checked in and looked at the pin board. I ended up trading for a fabulous Pascal pin!

We were seated in a nice booth near the entrance. I loved the decor, especially the ceiling fans.

Sharon got an omelette with Olivia's potatoes for her breakfast, which she thought was great!

Timmy went traditional once more, but it looked delicious anyhow!

Allie just wanted some pancakes and bacon. Perfect.

I went the more adventurous route and ordered the omelette with shrimp and avocado, with Olivia's potatoes of course.

This was SOOO good. Holy crap. It was something I'd never had before and I loved it! And those potatoes...so delicious. I loved it!

After breakfast we looked around the gift shop and I pin traded at this lifesaver board!

We went outside to walk around by the pool and soak up the last of our Florida sunshine. <3

I LOVE PALM TREES SO MUCH OMG.

Old Key West, you are gorgeous.

We still had some time to kill, so we decided to go over to Coronado Springs so Allie could see the Caballero topiaries!

Chapter 38- Meanwhile in Warrior 1...

July 22nd, 2012

Hello Coronado! It's the Frump resort!

We had to stop in Panchito's! He's Allie's favorite Caballero!

We looked around for a bit, and I said hello to my donkey friend.

Then we went outside to see the topiaries!

Allie was tré excited.

This is when we realized that we were leaving Disney. We were really quite sad about it.

We left the WRONG WAY next to those gates of Heaven and arrived after a bit at MCO.

We went through security and sat at the gate for a while and trip journaled.

We decided to grab Au Bon Pain and Starbucks for dinner. YUM! So good. The cashier at Au Bon Pain told me I look like Megan Fox, which was totally the nicest thing anyone's basically ever said to me, because she is drop-dead GORGEOUS. Al said that "she could see it" and I was just so confused, but flattered all the same.

YUM! Pretty darn good for not being Disney food!

When we were boarding, we saw this lady stretching by the gate and like doing full-on yoga in the airport. It was hilarious. Meanwhile in Warrior 1...

We boarded the plane and had to wait FOREVER for the new crew to arrive. It was nuts. The A/C wasn't working and we were all cramped and ugh. It was awful. I was thankful when we finally got going.

I basically trip journaled the whole time, and when we landed I met up with my mom and sister, got Chipotle and went home.

But really, you were very nice and I'm glad I got to meet you. It was only my second DISmeet at that time, so I didn't know we were supposed to get pictures to prove it....oh well, next time! That was my first Dessert Party and now I'm hooked. I am hoping to book one for this summer's trip too. But this time I need a table for 6, so we probably won't be in the front row

Holy updates and awesome souvie purchases (I especially love that you consider the plates a souvenir because I've done the same with the paper water glasses in the resort rooms)!

But seriously, it looks and sounds like you had such an amazing time. Reading your TRs and Jess's TRs have really kept me going as I await my trip (which amazingly is only 11 days away!) Although, they all make me want to literally just eat my way through WDW instead of doing everything else...there's just too much to try!
