A frog turns 50... Kermit!

So, I'm wondering if there will be anything special going on over at Muppets 3D since Kermit is now celebrating his 50th birthday. Anyone going this weekend... can you report in? DH and I will be there in a couple of weeks...and I have been a Kermit FANATIC for many many years. Since I was 9, and um, yeah, that was a lot of years ago

Anyone hear anything? CM's?? Any news? TIA!

I want to say that the post office just came out with Kermit and some of the other Muppets as stamps( I heard them talking about them on the radio). I think they are also bring out alot of the old movies of the Muppets and putting them on DVD( sometime in Nov. or Dec.).

Doubtful, but I'd sure love it!

When I wanted to pick up the Muppet*Vision 3D pin (with a real piece of 3D glasses in it), I assumed the The Stage 1 Company Store (the Muppet store) would have them. Wrong! I had to go all the way over to Animal Kingdom to pick it up!

Of course, this was before Disney bought the Muppets. Now that they have a vested interest, perhaps they will give Kermit his due. They do have a lot of new Muppet programs coming our way soon. Here's hoping!

Would love to hear from anyone around the Studios Thurs Fri or the weekend (Sept 29 on) if there was anything special going on for Kerm. Any special 50th anniv merch at the muppet store?

Totally off topic, but the first season of the Muppet Show is now available to buy on DVD. We have had ours for about a month and it is FANTASTIC! (If you do get it, make sure to turn on the pop-ups (can't remember what they call them) they are very cool!)
