A "fresh" turkey question

Last night DH bought a fresh turkey for Thanksgiving.

I don't know if I should freeze it, or keep it in my fridge until Thanksgiving

Any advice would be great because I don't know what to do.

I would say keep it in your fridge. should be fine.

What is the "Use By" date? If it is before Thanksgiving I would freeze it.

Yikes! I'd be a little afraid to try to keep it safe for a whole week. BEtter Freeze it for a few days.

If he bought it yesterday, that's 9 days. I wouldn't chance it.

Up here our fresh turkeys don't even come into the stores until three days prior - I would opt to freeze it.

Thanks everyone - I talked to my Grandma after I posted this and she said freeze it too - so I'm off to put the bird into a deep freeze
