Universal Express Passes - DH doesn't do big rides and will stay with DD is there any point buying just one? Do they have single rider lines on most rides? Going in January/February if that makes any difference.

Character Breakfast - I didn't even know Universal had a character breakfast has any one done it?

Meal and Drink deals - Is this available to every one or do you have to be staying on site? Are they even worth it? We plan to stay there all day as we will only set a side 1 day to go to both parks.

Virgin have offered me tickets for £125 each :scared1: this includes parking, early admission to Harry Potter and complimentary gift?
Florida Tix £123
Travel Republic £101
Universal $128 (google results £82.52)
Are virgin worth the extra cost?

Express Passes - don't bother at that time of year, you can single-rider most of the headliner rides.

Not done Character Breakfast but heard good things.

Meal and Drink deals are available to everyone but not worth it unless you plan to gorge yourself on fries and fried chicken all day long.

Early admission to Harry Potter - some people rave about this, we've always got everything done that we wanted to do here in peak season without too much issue. It's often best to go later in the day after the initial rush, in our experience.

Parking is only worth $12 (£8) so personally, I'd buy elsewhere.

I wouldn't get express passes for that time of year we do mostly single rider lines works for us :).

I don't think the meal deal is worth it as it doesn't have loads of places to choose from. You would have to eat 3 meals to make it worth it.

I don't know if the ticket is worth it but might be with early entry to Harry potter and parking is $16

I haven't done a Character breakfast but plan to when we go in December :).

not worth it at that time of year, and especially with a single rider.

if you like minions, dora and diego, it's fun
be aware that, at Universal, most (if not all) characters sign with a stamp, not by hand like at Disney's
the food is ... well ... hit or miss.
If you're going for just one day, it might be a bit of a waste of time (except if you really NEEEEEEED to see those characters

it's available to everyone

well, it's only counter service. You can get as often as you want through the food line, and you can get one meal each time you go through that line.
You'll probably won't be able to get even, unless you're the shrek family.

the early entry is usually only available to onsite guests.
But at that time of year, the 1 hour perk is not that important.

I've purchased 14 days bonus ticket from ATD for £106 each (2014 prices are a bit higher) but these tickets are for unlimited access for 14 days to both USO and IOA (much like the ultimate tickets for WDW)
no early admission, parking or gift though, but that gives you perspective about the prices you've been quoted.

Yes I saw a price rise of £25 from 2013 to 2014 :0 I was shocked to say the least.

Ok so no to the front of line express.

No to the food.

The character breakfast. Minions are a big deal in our house at the moment and unfortunately Dora. (I can't stand Dora lol)

It will only be me going on the Harry potter ride its not the early entry getting ahead of the mass of people it's the getting head start on the day that appeals to me the most.

Only HP opens early. The rest of the park opens later at the advertised opening time. HP is therefore very very busy first thing. We found it much quieter by lunchtime.
