We're finally staying at Poly next trip, and I'd like to try for 'Ohana when I can book my ADRs. But I have a few picky questions if anyone knows -

-- If we want the salad with the dressing on the side, does that come out right away with the bread? If so, should I "attack" our server with this request as soon as we sit down? Lol (and are there 2 different salads?)

-- how are the honey coriander wings for someone (DH) who really only loves buffalo chicken wings?

-- do all the dipping sauces come on the side? (DH hates peanut sauce)

-- due to said peanut sauce problem, it looks like he also wouldn't care for the egg noodles?

Thanks so much! I think he'll be just fine eating all the meats and shrimp plain plus will love the dessert, but I thought I'd check on some of these things.

all the sauces come on the sides in indivual cups. the peanut sauce is not that bad there are 2 other sauces as well to try i can remember which ones they are. the wings are pretty good just look at them before you eat them the last time i ate there they looked a little undercooked. I think the salad come out with the bread but donèt worry the bread is addictive and would hold you over until the new salad arrives. the bread pudding is really good to so save room.

You should not "attack" the server - what is the point of that? :confused3
I see your lol, but your comment was not funny to me.

The salad is "predressed", but I would imagine they could honor a nice request. There is only one salad. As said, the 3 sauces are served on the side to use or not.
You mentioned your DH would be fine eating the meats and shrimp plain,. Although none of them have a sauce, they are preseasoned prior to being grilled, if that is a problem.

I'm wondering a similar question with the potstickers. I despise when sauces are drizzled over things, and I noticed in pictures that the potstickers has some sort of orange sauce drizzled over it. I'm fine with pre-dressed salads, but the sauce on the potstickers would ruin it for me.

Can you request the potstickers without sauce drizzled on them?

I don't eat salad with dressing of any kind. I was able to order the salad with the dressing on the side, no problem. I didn't even have to attack the servers, just asked them :rotfl2::rotfl2: I asked when we ordered the drinks.

The key with 'Ohana is to remember that everyone is related. (The servers are your "cousins"). Remember 'Ohana means family and no one ever gets left behind.:rotfl2:

They will bend over backwards to make your meal enjoyable. If you want salad without dressing then you can have salad without dressing (although we love the dressing and my wife makes it now at home).

I am sure they can accommodate you on the noodles as well.

And although I recognized your comment about "attacking" the servers, is tongue and cheek (and in no way offends me), personally I feel that at a "family" gathering there is absolutely nothing wrong with "attacking" your cousins.:rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Just want to add, I was j/k, too. Totally not offended.

And I ended up dipping my fork in the dressing and trying it on a piece of lettuce a few times. It was pretty good. I just prefer salad without :thumbsup2

Are you serious? I thought it was cute and I totally know what you mean, OP, in terms of special requests and possibly needing to address them immediately, especially with the set up of 'Ohana's dinner style...and FWIW I'm a former fine-dining server.

Thank you very much for the answers. And thank most of you for understanding.

To the PP who was offended, I shouldn't even bother explaining. But my comment was actually made with the servers in mind. If the salad comes out with the bread nearly immediately, I did not want to make the servers have to a) return to the kitchen with a special request and b) waste food. Hence my desire to know whether I should make a request of the first server I see.

Anyway, like I said, thank you to those of you who were helpful. :goodvibes
