I am now flying in a day earlier so I am going to attempt to add a night to the start of our reservation. I checked online and the AP rate is available. If I call can they add it or will it need to be 2 separate reservations? There is no longer an AP rate available for the next two nights (I already have those booked).

Secondly, we will be getting to Universal very very late. We don't even land until midnight so it will be 1:00 am or 1:30. Should I have them note our reservation so they know we're coming and don't think we just didn't show up?

Well I called and had a very helpful rep. I always like to ask here first so I know what is possible before I call, but I decided just to call and see.
I have it as two reservations but she did note the late check in and that it was linked to another reservation.
She couldn't add the day without losing the AP rate on the other two days. I don't really mind because even if we end up having to move rooms when we get up, we are getting in so late we won't be unpacked. Hopefully they can leave us in the same room but it's not a big deal either way.
Just over a month to go!!!!!:cool1:

We've had that issue. Just adding the other day on is the best way to do it...the only issue is that you have to pay two deposits but oh well.

True. I prefer to have it paid before we go anyway so that works out too. Did you get to stay in your room for the whole time damo or did you end up being moved?
I guess it all depends on how full it is that weekend I guess.

It wasn't an issue at all. They just joined the two reservations.

We had to do this last year too with no issues...we just had to go down and get a new room key. No moving or anything :)

same here.

just like damo said is how it went for me.

did not have to change rooms.
