Just thought of another tip!
We had late dinner, and we'd get to the restaurant at about 8:20pm or 8:25pm and EVERY single time, we'd have to wait in the hallway until exactly 8:30pm. I know that 5 or 10 minutes doesn't sound like much, but when you're in your cabin rushing to finish getting ready, and it's HOT in the hallway outside of the restaurant, then that 5 or 10 minutes seems like a long time. LOL
So, my new tip is: Don't show up for dinner until the exact time, not even a few minutes early. The table will still be there for you when you get there, so there's no advantage at all to getting there a few minutes early!
We had late dinner, and this was our experience every single night of our 10-night cruise. Can anyone comment on early dining? Do they make you wait until the exact time for early dining, too??
