We are just back from a 5 day weekend in WDW and managed to get in a lot of food. Since I have never been able to finish a dining report, I thought I would just share a few observations.

First, we used TIW instead of DDP. Works much better for our family of 5 because of the flexibility of eating whatever you want. We rarely have desserts after our meals at TS restaurants because of the variety of treats all around WDW, and we sometimes share or have appetizers, so TIW works well.

We had lunches at Chefs de France, Le Cellier, ESPN, Teppan Edo & SciFi. Dinners at Via Napoli and the Plaza. CS at Wolfgang Puck Express (3X), The Mara, Pecos, Earl's and Katsura Grill. Lots of snacks along the way. I know that sounds like a lot in 5 days, but we did not all eat at the CS places.

I would say that we much enjoy lunch over dinner. The restaurants seem less crazy, it is a nice break from going around the parks and the costs are lower.

We have had 2 so-so dinners at Chefs, but we really enjoyed the lunch. We had burgers, the croque sammy and a flatbread. All great. Remi did come around. Perhaps because our kids are older, I just found that a bit creepy.

Lunch at Le Cellier was good as usual. Most of us had the filet, but I chose 2 appetizers- the rock shrimp and mussels and enjoyed both. DS had the chicken cordon bleu and liked that a lot.

SciFi had the usual fun atmosphere and we enjoyed our shared Reubens and burgers. I had an excellent cocktail.

DH and I shared an Italian hotdog at ESPN and it really hit the spot along with the Orange Blossom beer that they serve there.

We always love Teppan Edo and this time was no different.

As to Via Napoli, well we gave it a 2nd try. On our first visit we were a bit put off by all that was not included on the DDP. This time, we just ordered what we wanted, a mezze pizza, a big salad, some appetizers and a chicken dish. It worked out well and we enjoyed the food and service.

As for CS, WPE rules! Enjoyed breakfast pizzas, lunch pizzas and sandwiches there. The new Katsura is very much like the old Yakatori and since we all liked that for sentimental reasons (a family favorite), we enjoyed Katsura.

Hope this helps for anyone planning a trip!

Thanks for the reviews :goodvibes I am curious in what way was Remy creepy? I am dying to see him in person.

Remy is brought around with a waiter who asks him questions and Remy nods or turns his head. I don't know, it just did not work for me and it was weird to have a rat character rolled around in a restaurant. But as I said, my kids are teens or older and Remy was never a favorite character. Other tables seemed to get a kick out of Remy so I'm sure it was just me. And I admit I have no problem with Mickey in Garden Grill!

Thanks for the info
Sounds like on the whole you had really good meals :)

thanks for your review. I usually do dinners for our TS meals but booked several lunches this year. Good to know that lunch is less crowded and just as good.
