We returned earlier this week from a split stay - a dedicated two bedroom at both BCV and BLT. We loved the layout of BLT. The living room was much roomier and had more seating than BCV and I loved having two patios (we were on the first floor). I think we were upgraded as I had booked standard view but we had the last room on the outside of the C, looking toward the Contemporary, and we had a perfect view of the lake and marina. The kids enjoyed the pool, in fact, they liked that it wasn't as busy as SAB was earlier in the week. There were always chairs available and the pool never seemed crazy. I don't know how full the resort was, however, so this may have had something to do with that.

Now for the negatives: We are just not MK people and I found myself missing BCV. I missed being able to walk to Epcot, although the walk to MK is great. Also, the resort just felt sterile to me. Many years ago we stayed at the Comtemporary in a MK view room and I remembered feeling the same way. It is a beautiful resort, but I didn't feel the same charm as some of the other resorts. Just my own personal feeling. Three out of our four kids preferred BLT, so go figure! The living room furniture was pleasant to look at but pretty uncomfortable to sit on, especially the extra chair (not the sofa or sleeper chair). The sofa was okay but I kept slipping down the sleeper chair. Maybe if I was taller (I'm 5'4") it would have been ok. Anyway, we all kind of joked about the chairs. I think by now everyone has heard about the non-locking bathroom doors so I won't go into that one! Also, if anyone was there already and used the DVD, how did you do it?? The instructions said to tune the TV to channel 92. Only problem was that there was no channel 92 and the TV wouldn't let us tune it in. After waiting over an hour for a technician to come fix it we gave up. Who wants to watch movies while at Disney anyway...

Anyway, not to sound negative, BLT really is a nice resort, I just preferred BCV more. My last night at Epcot I realized I missed BCV and I probably won't be returning to BLT again.

Isn't it great that as DVC members we have a choice of so many resorts, each one a different style and location within our favorite place: Walt Disney World. :wizard:

we were there and split our stay - first 3 nights at BLT, then moved to BWV. We LOVE the MK, and went in several times during our 3 day stay. We also like to visit the other monorail resorts, which we were able to do quite easily while we were there. However, that was enough for us, and DH and I both said maybe one more day tops for that location. BWV was the same, by the time we left we were ready to leave. Our favorite I guess will always be OKW - we NEVER want to leave there:)
