Hi everyone!

We are planning a trip to WDW for 9 nights in June. DS is the biggest HP fan I've ever met, so we obviously need a day at Universal. I thought we would just go and do whatever we could, but I also know this is a VERY busy time of the year (week leading up to July 4th). So... Now I'm considering starting our trip at Universal for a night in one of their resorts. I'm thinking the early entry would be huge and I would like the FOTL pass for other rides after we exhaust HP. Here are my questions if we consider this:

1. Do you know anything about Magical Express at Disney? If we don't use the service when we arrive can we still use it when we leave?

2. Will a Universal resort hold our bags for us while we tour the day we check out? The first day we wouldn't visit a park.. We would just enjoy the resort and see what we could find to eat around the area.

3. Are cabs available right outside at the airport to bring us to universal?

4. DS is a MAJOR ride chicken. The craziest he can handle is Big Thunder Mountain at Disney. We tried FJ last trip and I bought the picture because the look on DS's face (terror mixed with surprise) is priceless. He won't ride again. We've you tubed videos of Gringott's and there's no way he's riding that either. Are there any rides he might actually like in universal? He's 8 so tall enough for lots, but is such a chicken. We did Spiderman last time and he didn't hate it, but didn't really enjoy it either. I'm wondering if it's worth it doing all this if there are no rides for him to do at all....

5. Last one... Our plan would be get in early.... Check out Diagon Alley (I'm really hoping we can look at Gringott's even though we won't ride), do the interactive wand thing, and once the other park opens ride the HE over the Hogsmeade. There we would hopefully be able to to do a castle tour without riding. Do this sound do-able? Is it a waste? Last trip universal was the highlight of our trip for him simply because of the atmosphere and being so immersed in HP. We only rode two rides and he disliked both, but he loved universal! We would obviously spend the rest of that day looking around the parks.

Thanks for any help!!!

1. Yes, you may use it when you leave.

2. They will hold your bags via bell services while you tour the parks.

3. Cabs are instantly available at the airport.

4. There are plenty of shows, experiences, tame rides that he would most likely enjoy.

5. Absolutely worth it. DA is amazing, even if you do not ride the rides.

We too will be there around the same time.. We are flying into MCO..then taking car (FLTours) to Cabana Bay for a few nights to hit Universal.. From what I have read you must have the park to park pass to enjoy both parks, but more important to use the Hogwarts Express between the two areas.

Do you know which universal resort you are planning to stay at.. My understanding is that all of the on property resorts will get you early access, but only the original two get you the VIP access.. We opted for Cabana Bay.. early access but not the VIP access.

Out of the 4 resorts, the 3 DELUXE resorts give you express pass access..Those resorts are : Royal Pacific, Hard Rock and Portofino Bay.

We are planning to get a park to park pass. Since the only HP ride my DS will do is the HE, I want to make sure he can do it. I need to figure out if the express pass will be worth it for us, since DS won't ride much. I of course would love to stay at CB, but I'll stay at one of the deluxes if the express pass is worth it for us.

We were thinking about Hard Rock, but I have to admit those prices are giving me a bit of shock :scared:
