seeing as our trip is now only 41 sleeps away I am starting to get bits and peices sorted - i have a few questions

I have read about premium fastpass and that this is payable at your hotel - we are going from the 2nd - 5th Dec is it really worth it ??

Also do they do anything similar to WDW photopass there

I have seen people have written about photo packs but wondered if they were just the standard ones you can get on the rides

Also debating about the dreams meal - if it is going to be quiet is it worth paying for the meal when i may not have to queue that long anyway ?

I havent really looked at the menus or where you can eat it in much detail but i am getting more worried now that maybe it could be worthwhile rather than waiting ages in the cold for a good spot for dreams ???


Finally saw the advert as well and had to pretend to throw the biggest tantrum that i wasnt going at christmas in front of the kids - i felt so guilty as they promised that they would make my birthday extra sparkly and let me decorate the tree - little do they know i wont have time as we are off to ashford after lunch

definitely no point buying premium fastpasses, you won't need them at that time of year.

Dreams VIP menu - hmmm - we did fine without it on our last trip. However, if you have young children who would struggle to see well if they have adults standing in front of them in the Plaza, I can see the attraction of the VIP area.

although i frequently call them my babies My dd is 14 and 5'8 !! ds is only 10 and can be a bit of a whiner but i figured if i bought hot chocolate and a cookie as we start to queue for dreams that should keep him quiet

Is there a thread about the best place to stand ?

with a 10-year old with a snack, you should be fine getting a spot to see around 20 minutes beforehand. We did .

I'm not sure if you can buy photopacks as such, but with any of the official photographers (like Princess Pavillion etc), you get given a card with a barcode on and then you can take it into any of the photo shops and look at them. You can use the same card for multiple shoots, we had one for each day and as long as you hand them to the CM taking pics, they are used to it.

They will only keep the photos for three days though, we found this out by fluke because I queried it when they said that they wouldn't be deleted! The more you buy, the cheaper it is. From what I remember, it's 35 euros for 5 and then 3 euros extra per photo.

that photo pack sounds like the thing i must have heard people talking about - i take it you need to order all 5 at once to get them cheap ?

the 35 euros for 5 photos is a voucher booklet you purchase, its got 5 vouchers in it and you hand over one voucher for each photo you choose over your trip.

Not sure when (might be now) but the VIP meals are going to weekends only. Now by that I'm not entirely sure if they mean Fri / Sat / Sun nights or just Sat / Sun, or even just Sat???

So, that isn't much help to you, other than it would need to be the Sun night that you do the meal if you want to do one as it's not on the rest of your stay (if Sun is included?).

We did the Walts one in June - tbh I wasn't too keen on the food (but believe they have more main choices now). But with two young children, it was a godsend. We hardly waited (10 mins before Dreams) and had a really good view as no one was allowed to stand in front of the roped off area which is slightly raised up as on a pavement. Not sure I would have done it with just adults, but young children, yes, it was worth it. We are considering doing it again on the Saturday night of our stay - I expect the park to be busy, so it might help especially with my little girls... Only issue is, fitting in the meal .
