A Few Questions

I'm going on a Cruise in October and wanted to know if anybody had anwsers to theses questions.

1. Both me and my wife are 25 years old and big Disney fans now I know that the ships have different areas for the kids and such but my question is are we allowed to play the games and such in those areas? Some like the ones with the computer games looked to fun to pass up.Or are those areas only for the certain age groups ?

2. How are the prices on Disney's "Private" Island. Now I've been on cruises before and shopping in the bahamas is a real bargain if you knew what to look for .My question since Disney owns the whole Island , Do they price fix the stuff ? Or is it a pretty good bargain.

Hi drdisney, and welcome to the DIS!

The children's clubs do not allow adults in to play without kids, sorry. The security is pretty tight and there really is not anything in there that adults would want to do for any length of time. You'll find plenty of fun things for adults to do.

The shopping on Castaway Cay is limited to a small shop selling Castaway Cay souvenirs...it is not really a shopping destination. You'll find typical tourist t-shirts, hats, water toys, etc. as well as sundries such as sunscreen. The price is not negotiable.

Even though you cannot go into the kids areas, you can use the arcade (it is an extra cost area, tho'). But don't worry, there are plenty of "games" for the adults! Don't miss evening activities like the 70's party and Match Your Mate. You will have a great time.
Also, you are in for a treat with Castaway Cay. When we went to Royal Caribbean's supposed "private" island, Labadee, it was awful! We had natives shaking us down for a dollar just to sit in a lounge chair, and I was blocked from exiting the restroom by a woman wanting money. I was physically grabbed in the shopping area...that doesn't even happen in Nassau! Disney's private island is exactly what they bill it as: A totally private paradise.
