I have a couple questions for our upcoming trip.

1. When changing hotels for a split stay, do you have to do anything other than giving your luggage to bell services? How does that work?

2. Will they move food for you that isn’t refrigerated for your split stay?

3. Which Copper Creek cabins are the best to request for fireworks viewing from the cabin?

4. What time do I have to leave the Magic Kingdom on MNSSHP days in the afternoon when I don’t have a ticket to the party?

Thanks!

I have the same questions on your first two questions, but I can answer your last question. You have to leave the park at 6pm if you don't have a ticket to MNSSHP

Just drop your luggage or have them pick it up from your room. They transfer in the afternoons so it won’t arrive before then..typically between 3 and 6 pm.

They will move food as long as it doesn’t need refrigeration. We actually keep or pack an extra duffle type bag to transfer snacks between the resorts so it’s easier for them than grocery bags.

Just to agree with you. Last trip, we brought along a few shopping bags just for that reason. Walmart bags are awful. I also brought along a roll of sealing tape. If I had a half case of water, I' tape it up, so bottles aren't falling out all over the place.

Thanks, so we can still ride rides between 4 and 6 pm?
Yes, but - we were recently at MK during a party day and I would really suggest going early in the AM. Crowds are very low and it was really lovely. We left around 4pm and people were streaming in for the party. Earlier in the day (late morning) - kids rode space mountain as a walk on 3x

Thanks Kboo, we are getting there at park open on that MNSSHP day, but just wondering how long we get there and when we'd have to leave / stop riding rides.

Thanks guys for the responses on the food.

Could you theoretically take refrigerated food over to your new resort and ask them to hold it in their refrigerated section they use for deliveries? We will probably move our car in the morning before going to the park.....

Yes. We typically Uber over before heading to the parks and the new resort holds all of our refrigerated items for us! Its just the actual transporting that is no longer allowed!!! If you do have a car, honestly, I would just move all of your things when you do and just have the new resorts bell services hold it all.

This way, if your room is ready earlier, and you get there, all your stuff is there and you are not waiting. We made that mistake once so now, if we have to drop refrigerated things, we just do it all...except my owners locker...that I let bell services move for me.!

Oh good call! Thank you! We have been DVC for quite awhile now, but never done a split stay. I'm still waitlisted for the whole trip at BWV but right now we are split stay CC and BWV. The whole thing makes me a little nervous, and hopefully our waitlist for BWV comes through!

What a great idea about a duffle bag. We are doing a split stay in October, four nights in GFVs and then moving to BWVs for a week. I am planning on two food/alcohol deliveries but Im sure we will have stuff left over from GFVs. I plan to Uber our stuff over in the morning.

Great idea about the tape. Going to put this with our stuff.

Thank you.
