A Few Questions Regarding Tiered Parking

I checked the transportation board, but didn't see anything which would answer my questions.

Is the more expensive parking worth it? Where do you park? I have paid for VIP parking at US before and been 1 or 2 rows (separated by the concrete bump guards) from the regular parking. Is Disney's more expensive parking worth it?
What about the parks? Which one would be more beneficial? Would it be worth it, say, at AK? We have 1 day offsite where we'll have to pay to park, and I was just wondering.
Thanks!

You park towards the front of the park (behind 2-3rows of disability) where you now have to walk to the park. Regular parking has a tram that takes you right up to the front. They do give you a free bottle of water. IMHO don't pay extra for it.

It is always our luck that they start a new row when it gets to our car, so we are usually furthest from the tram. We don't mind walking; the only day we have to pay to park is our AK day, which isn't that long a walk anyway.

We have the same kind of luck.
