We are on the 11/26 Fantasy sailing. I had a few questions I was hoping someone could answer.

Once we are on the ship, will the DCL app keep me logged in? Right now I have to log in every time I open it.

Do you still pay for things (in the shops, a drink at the bar, etc) with the key card or it it done in the app somehow?

I know the MDR evening menus are on the app but is the menu for the MDR serving lunch on a particular day on the app also?

What exactly is Satellite Falls? Is it for adults/kids?

Safe Passage won't allow me to make an account more than 15 days before sailing. My 15 days was yesterday and it still won't let me make one. Any suggestions?

We are thinking of trying to get on Match Your Mate this time, been married 47 years. DH is a little worried about what they might ask. Is it just fun stuff or very personal?

Do they still give you a small amount of free internet if you sign up the first day?

I am so excited, we have never been on the Fantasy. And, after this we will be gold!

Re: Match Your Mate: We won once. It was an absolute blast. There were a few personal questions. It made us very very popular that my husband answered the most personal one truthfully (he was asked first) and I dropped my jaw and turned red when I was asked. I could tell from the audience reaction that he'd told the truth. I figured, what the heck, I don't know any of these people, and went with it.

We were the hit of the cruise. We felt like stars because everyone was coming up to us telling us how great we were for the rest of the week. We still look back on it and laugh.

I don’t know all of the answers but I’ll answer the best of my knowledge from our cruise earlier this year.

I can’t remember if I had to log back into the app on the ship, I don’t think I had to log back in every time I used it but I could be wrong.

Pay for things with key to the world card

MDR lunch menu was on the app (I’m pretty sure)

Satellite falls is an adult area to my knowledge, we haven’t yet sailed the Fantasy

Safe passage is gone for sailings after 11/14 so no need to upload vaccine cards.

We got 50 MB free WiFi when we signed up the first day. My husband and I were each able to get it.

yes once on the ship and connected to the ship wifi you will stay logged in

to pay for drinks at the bar and pay in the shops they will ask your room number, then you tap your room card on a reader and then then sign either a the receipt or the electronic pad

yes the mdr lunch menu is on the app

Satellite Falls is the adult pool area

Another Match Your Mate winners here. Married 30+ years. We did it in Alaska-Jo was the host. It was fun, some of the questions a bit embarassing. We kept it PG as our 18+ kids were in the audience. I have never laughed so hard. And I am one and done with that one. LOL

Thanks for asking the questions - I too haven't sailed since 2019.

Another question... If we don't get our room keys anymore at the port and they are at our rooms, and rooms aren't ready until 1:30 or 2pm - how do we purchase coffee at Cove or a drink at the bar when we first get onboard?

if you want to buy a drink at a bar or at cove cafe or have an alcoholic drink in the mdr before you get your room key they just ask for your room number, put it into the system and print out a receipt for you to sign

To me that sound like a problem waiting to happen.
What if someone, by accident, gives the wrong room number. All of a sudden on your bill there may be things you did not order.
Now you have to go to guest service and dispute it.
They should at least give the room keys out inside the port.

when they put the room number into the system your cruise profile with your photo comes up on the screen, so if you give a wrong room number they can see its not you

As per our last cruise on the Fantasy in 11-2019 the app would always log us out. This is why we are hopping for the availability of even a basic paper Navigator.
In 2019 we asked our room steward for a paper Navigator each day and he provided one for us. I know there have been several discussions about the Navigators being discontinued but a basic scheduled of the events on the ship would be nice for people that are either not into smart phones/tablets (my mother) or people that just want to disconnect from technology for a while.
We missed things because of the app logging out all the time on us. Maybe this has changed.

Yes, we saw this one time while sitting at a bar.
The only thing may be if you are sitting at a table in one of the dinning rooms. The server takes your order than dose not notice you may not be the person pictured, or you look similar to the picture.

I don't recall having to keep logging in to the Nav app once on board.

Also, according to the DCL BLog, you can now get a paper list, by request, of events, movie times, etc. for each day, at least on the Wish. It is not the Navigator, just a list broken down by category with times and locations.

There has been a report from this weekend’s Wish cruise that a printed sheet with all the info is now available on request.

Your key card is in an envelope outside your room on the hook you hang a fish extender from.
