Another DISer started a thread showing her Disney Journal she had made using VIOVIO.com. She had taken different journal pages from several DISigners and turned it into a cute book that could be printed and ordered. I really liked the idea of having someone print and bind my book so I created a Journal on the site too.
However, I have never ordred from the company and I have a few questions I'm hoping someone can help me answer before I spend a lot of money and not get what I'm hoping to get. I tried contacting the DISer directly via PM and also by posting my question on the thread but I have not received a response and I am not sure how long it will take to ship this item so I am hoping someone else might have an answer to my question.
Here is the link to what I have so far.
I removed the link because I can't get it to work.
Let me know if it doesn't work and I'll try to fix it.
Ok - let me see if I can explain my question correctly. If you do a FLIP PREVIEW of the journal everything looks perfect (I do know that a few of the pages are a little cut off, however, I'm ok with that and besides I don't know how to fix it.) That's before you click HARDCOVER and Check the Box next to SHOW CROP GUIDES. I do want the book to be Hardcover and I thought I better take a look at the Crop Guides so I checked that box. NOW my problem and question comes up - An Orange Box shows up on the pages and cuts off a large amount of my Journal Pages.
Does this mean that only what you can see inside the orange box will be printed?
If it does mean that only what is inside the orange box will be printed then how my next question would be how do I get my pages to fit just inside those boxes?
Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If you haven't used this site but have used another company who prints 8 1/2 x 11 books and would recommend them please post the name below. It's not a must that I use this company I just thought the other journal was so cute that I would give it a try.
I like the idea of the pages being back to back to cut down on the size of the book, however, I can't seem to get my printer to do that with out the ink bleeding through (Laser Oki Printer) or I would print the pages and take them to Staples for binding. I also like the idea of a Hardcover Book (Kind of like a Year Book) so that was onther reason I went with this company.
If I have not made this easy for someone to help please let me know. I'm not very good at placing my thoughts onto paper.
Thanks for any help you might be able to give me.
