A few questions about sunshine rewards

We have a ways to go before our next vacation and I thought I would try to get some disney giftcards built up before we go. I'm looking at sunshine rewards so if those of you who have used the program.

1. How fast do rewards build? I don't do a lot of shopping online will that be an issue?

2. I see you have to have cookies enabled. Is it better to use a different browser for this. I use FF now so should I use IE when I'm doing SR?

3. Should I use a junk email?

1. It depends on how much time you want to spend doing the special offers and surveys as to how quickly the rewards build. I haven't used SR in a couple of years. But when I did, it was very easy for me to earn rewards. Most of my rewards came from the daily surveys. I did very little shopping. And in a years time, I had earned around $800 in disney gift cards.

2. They recommend using IE to do the offers on SR.

3. Yes, use a junk email to do the offers and surveys. I would have my real email on my SR account though.

Like the PP said, what you earn depends on the time you invest. You can get credit for up to eight surveys per day, but I don't know how many members have the time or demographics to get that many each day (I know there are some who qualify for a lot, though). I usually get about 3 surveys per day unless I just have a lot of time to spend - I earn about $50 per month or a bit more. I cashed out for $500 the end of March and have $75 in my account now, and I was gone for ten days in April and didn't do surveys then.

I use IE. Some members use FF or Chrome, but some surveys won't work on those browsers.

I use my main e-mail for my SR address and for the surveys, but I have a junk e-mail for when I used to do the offers. I use my main e-mail for shopping. You won't get spam from SR and they will not sell or rent your information.

I use Chrome the most, but also Firefox and Internet Explorer.

I don't do much shopping either, but even what I do adds up. I got $6+ for doing my taxes, for example, and $2.40 for a hotel reservation I would have done any way. Make sure to get other people in your family to do their online shopping through your account. I have my son well-trained; my DH not so much (ProFlowers with NO SR credit for Mother's Day).

I probably average two surveys a day -- my demographics kick me out of most.

It's not real fast, but the money does add up.

I love SR and have cashed in a few times but not as many as I could have. I don't have very much time to myself between working and taking care of DGS1 in the afternoons so I don't get to do as much as I would like on SR. I don't do a ton of shopping online, but some things I do buy are from Disney Store, spices from MySpiceSage, and Ebay for all of DH's motorcyle and car stuff. The biggest money maker wold be the surveys but if I can't have a few minutes to complete them right, I just don't start them (meaning if DGS1 is awake, there are no surveys for me! LOL)

I use IE for everything and it works fine. Also, I totally agree with the PP about using your main email for SR and an extra email account for offers and freebies so you're not junking up your email with spam.

I have gotten $300 in Disney cards in a couple years. I don't sign up for offers very often..I guess I don't really see them often or think to look under that tab. I do some surveys but have gotten very frustrated with that, as it seems like more and more it says you qualify and you spend quite a bit of time filling out specific answers then all of a sudden you don't qualify anymore..I also don't even qualify at the beginning that much, and it seems like all the pre-qualifying time is pretty consuming too. I mainly get credits for shopping, but that also has glitches where it seems like a spate of purchases don't credit even with trouble tickets opened. Overall though, I've really ejoyed it and it has been helpful to get extra Disney money. I guess I should look into those offers and try and do surveys more.

Just a tip but be sure when you are doing surveys you keep your pace steady and not go to fast on them. If it thinks you are just clicking on something, it will kick you out.

I'm closing in on making $3k from Sunshine Rewards in the last 3 years. Right now I don't have much time to devote to it, but I do 2-3 surveys/day and some shopping.

I did a survey on there about a month ago and they asked if I would be willing to do a couple follow up surveys so of course I said yes, and I got a check in the mail yesterday for $30!!

Their forum is great to get help and learn about the site.

I have been struggling with SR for a couple months trying to get extra money for our disney trip. I think I just don't have the time to commit to doing the surveys. If you buy online, it does add up pretty fast though.

Thanks you guys. I signed up this morning and already did a few surveys. After the kids go to bed tonight I'm going to poke around their forum a bit more and see what I can learn. Even if I earn slow we have a long time before we go so it should add up.
