A Few Questions about Old Key West for a newcomer

I have never stayed at OKW or even been there except for a stop on Magical Express on our way to POFQ. We got the studio room AP deal for July and are staying for 4 nights. Are there certain buildings only that have the studio rooms or are they spread out everywhere? I am looking for something close to one of the bus stops or the main house. Any specific building I should request? The other thing I need to know is are their irons and ironing boards in the studio rooms, I know they don't have washers/dryers, but I am assuming they will have iron/board since our last moderate stay even had them.

There are studios in ALL OKW buildings, and they are usually on the ends of the buildings. All rooms are near enough to a bus stop and all buses stop at the Hospitality House before exiting the resort. I have stayed at OKW more than 20 times, but I honestly don't know if there is an iron and board in the studio! We usually have a 1 or two bedroom, and rarely get a lock off or studio. I'm sure someone will know that though. You can always call housekeeping and they will bring them up to you if there is none when you check in. The same goes for additional kitchen items that you might wish to use that would not bein a studio portion of a lock-off.

their are studios in all buildings. if you want to be close to a particular area go to a resort map and pick a couple of building numbers that are close to where you want to be and put in a request. there is still no guarantee that you will get that area but they usually try.

Washers and dryers are located near the pools. Ice machines and vending machines are near the bus stops.

If you want to be close to the main pool, restaurant, store, boat dock, etc then request a villa near the Hospitality House. 3 of these buildings have elevators; they are also the only buildings at OKW to have elevators. So it is a double plus!
Have a great trip! Make sure you take time to get a beverage at Gurgling Suitcase and some finger food from the fast food next door, and then sit out on the dock and watch the sunset. It is very relaxing and pure Disney magic!

We just returned from OKW. We requested a 1st floor for medical reasons and close to the Hospitality House/main pool. They placed us in building 27 which is right by a bus stop and a short walk to the main pool. We were very please with our location and loved it! Good luck!
