a few questions about making ADRs.....

I just read up on the new ADR policy and have a few questions:

I am making the TS reservations (total of 11 people). Would I use my GG confirmation # to make them?

Is it easier to book online or to call? The last time we went, you still had to call and make the reservations, so I am unsure of which to do (though I assume online is easier).

Finally......do I stand a chance of booking O'hana? I read tons of threads and the common theme is that O'hana will probably not happen for me! I've never eaten there, but want to......do I have a chance :rotfl2:?????????

Thanks!

I could be wrong, but I think you have too many people to book online. I thought the last I read was 10 was the max for online booking. Try it and see what happens.

Online is easier and quicker.

As to your GG#, I don't know. If you are able to book online, I think I would just use my resort reservation #, but perhaps someone other than me has better insight into that.

If you are booking at 180 days out, using the 180+10 advantage, you can probably get 'Ohana without too much problem. Especially if you schedule that meal towards the end of your trip because less people will have been able to book that date when you call at 180 days out.

As encouragement to you for getting into Ohana, for our upcoming trip, I was able to make dinner reservations for 2 separate nights when I was a little over 100 days out. We LOVE Ohana, and I thought for sure we'd miss out, but I was able to get two nights at reasonable hours (5:05 & 5:10) while we're there. Granted, this was for a small party of 2, but hopefully, you'll get some encouragement from this. Let us know how you make out!

Thanks to you both! I will call WDW dining and find out what they say about my being able to make reservations online or by calling (I wish I had asked when I booked). I'll let you know about O'hana as well. My ADR date is Jan 25th, so I have a while to go....but it'll be here before I know it :thumbsup2!

Last time I went to Disney, they didn't have the online reservation yet so I had to stay on phone for quite some time to book my reservations with the person.

I am so happy now they have the online. It was/is sooo convenient. My trip is first week in March 2012 and when I booked in November, I wasn't able to get 'Ohana or Mickey's BYBBQ at first but I literally kept searching every day for the past month since mid-November and finally after a month of trying, I got both reservations locked for party of 4!!!:banana::banana:

If you can reserve online, then you just need to search... the openings do show up!

And 'Ohana is GREAT, well worth my every day 15 min search for a whole month to get a spot. :)
