we decided that we are going to do the disney dining meal package, and i was thinking about doing the fantasmic dinner package.

But we are going in October and i looked up the times for fantasmic, and park close times for MGM and both are at 7:30 for the night we will be at MGM.... it that right? do they allow people at fantasmic to be in the parks after close, or am i totally not understanding something here?

also, do they still have beauty and the beast on stage??? I loved that show back in 2001 and would love to see it again if it's still there.

and... for fantasmic, do you need to get tickets, or is it included in park admission?!?

thanks for your help!

Fantasmic is included in admission. I'm not too sure about the park times, but I'm thinking that that may just be the last show and when it's over, the park is closed.
We have the Fantasmic dinner package for Sept 29th! I can't wait!

Yes, Fantasmic! "closes the park" and you exit after the show (which would be 30 minutes after closing.) This is not at all unusual as Epcot closes at 9pm, the start-time for IllumiNations.
Sometimes Fantasmic! will not even START until a half-hour AFTER park closing (as most guests arrive 30 minutes to an hour or so in advance anyway.)

Beauty and the Beast On Stage is still wowing the crowds every day.
(Don't miss the terrific pre-show that starts about 10 minutes before showtime!)

No extra tickets needed for Fantasmic!

Keep in mind that the Fantasmic packages' seating is in an upper corner, yes, the show is huge so you can see, but we always try to go when there is a second showing of Fantasmic in the same night. The second is much less crowded and although you do have to wait a little, you can get much closer seats. If there is only one showing, I would go with the package.

You can stay as long as the show is taking place, even if its after close. Also, you can stay in the restaraunts too. Have fun on the dining plan! It is marvelous! Take full advantage of it. It is the best thing ever!

I also love Beauty and the Beast! Such a magical show!

I hope you have a total blast on your trip! :smooth:

I don't do the dining plan either, but its not quite accurate (or fair) to say that its seating area is in an "upper corner".

Far from that, it is about half-way back from the front row, in a section about midway between the center of the theater and the far stage-left edge of seats (mid-third or so).
Not bad seats at all... but I love to sit front-row center, myself ("you MIGHT get WET" :goodvibes ).

Also, if one chooses the dining package, his party is free to sit ANYWHERE there are seats still available upon arrival, not just in the "roped-off" area for the dining package.

We have been to Fantasmic several times, with and without the dining. At that time of year you will have no problem getting a seat so don't feel that you have to have the dining package to get a seat.
