hey everyone!
for those who have stayed in explorers before this is for you
first of all what does the shop in the hotel sel? like what kind of toiletries -we can only take on hand luggage on board the flite this time and food and stuff?
It's a Disney shop selling a variety of Disney souvenirs although they do sell a very limited selection of fizzy drinks, bottled water, crisps, sweets. There is a Brioche Doree kiosk just outside the Disney shop which sells rolls, baguettes, and yummy pastries mmmmmmmmm.
There is a dispenser in your bathroom which contains a combined shampoo/soap. I've only used it to wash my hands as I take my own toiletries and it felt mild but I don't know how good it would be as a shampoo to wash hair. There is a Relay shop in the train station just outside the Disney parks which
probably sells shampoo and conditioner, if it doesn't you should definitely be able to buy them in the shop at the petrol station at the Santa Fe hotel. Otherwise take the RER train one stop into Val d'Europe where there is a big Auchen supermarket and a mall full of shops.
what's the pool like, is it clean?
I agree with A Small World, the pool is lovely, very clean and great fun. Towel hire is 2.
Where is the nicest place to eat in the hotel?
Breakfast is downstairs in the Plantation Restaurant. I've never bothered eating at the hotel for lunch/dinner as we prefer to eat in the parks.
what are the rooms like? we're just stayin in a normal room, not themed or anything and are there coffee tea facilities? I'm a big tea drinker
Rooms are fine, we've stayed five times now and have always had a clean and comfortable room, never had any complaints. There's a kettle provided and you get a complimentary pack for the first night. We always take our own tea bags and you can buy milk in the Relay shop or the Santa Fe garage one. Sometimes there are cartons of milk in the Explorer's Disney shop but don't rely on it. On saying that, we stayed 9 nights this summer and were given complimentary supplies every day, whether this is new or we were just lucky I don't know but I still prefer to buy a bottle/carton of milk as I can't stand powdered milk in tea. I also like having the room safe.
hmm what else...is there cash machine there?
Not at the hotel but there are at the parks.
think that's all

My boyf really wanted to go here so hopefully lives up to his and my expectations
Just don't go expecting
too much and you'll have a great time. We went here because being a family of 5 there isn't a great deal of choice but I've been very satisfied each visit.
