I was wondering a few things about the Jr. Suites at the Dolphin. We chose one at the Dolphin because I am under the impression that the ones at the Dolphin are 2 rooms (with a door) instead of a great big "L" shaped rooms as at the Swan. Ok now the questions....Does anyone know when the re-furbishing will be done at the Dolphin?? Has anyone stayed in one of the Jr Suites that they thought was nice...location ...view etc. Could I have room # please.:D We are not checking in until 11:30 pm and I would really like to fax a room preference ahead if at all possible. Oh, it has to be NON -SMOKING for DS. Also, do the Dolphin Jr. Suites have those wonderful, heavenly beds I have heard so much about (we are starwood members). Does anyone know if they are part of the re-furbishing. Where can I find a map of the layout of the hotel (where the suites are located etc. ) MAybe a floor by floor one?Does anything like this exist? I have found the map of the hotel on their site but it is pretty general. I would love to know which ones are nearest to the pools, elevators so DS can easily wheel his chair . Thanks so much for the info. I am so confused about his hotel but am very eager to stay there!!!!!

I stayed in the Jr. Suite at the Dolphin last summer. I don't remember the room # , but it was an odd number room. From what I understand the odd number rooms face Epcot and the Boardwalk, while the Even numbered rooms face MGM. No matter what room you get they all have fantastic views so I wouldn't worry to much about that. We were hoping for the "Heavenly Bed" when we checked in , but none were available, so no, they don't all have them. (At least they didn't last summer) They have just finished refurbishing the Swan and are just starting the Dolphin, so chances are good that at least some of the rooms will be refurbished with the "Heavenly Beds" when you arrive. At any rate , the JR. Suites are VERY nice!!! - lots of room, 2 bathrooms, and SENSATIONAL VIEWS. As far as layout and maps, I don't know where you can find those. You will love the Dolphin Jr. Suites regardless of what room you get.

Thanks for the info. I am looking forward to the DOLPHIN. I would really love a heavenly bed!!!

We just got back from the Dolphin 1/13 and a Jr. Suite. We were on the west wing, 11th floor facing MGM. We wanted the east wing facing epcot but they were all booked. We LOVED the jr. suite at the Dolphin and we were pleasantly surprised to love the west wing. It is close to the pool and very convienient. The Dolphin has not started redoing the rooms yet. The Swan is well on it's way to being completed. The Dolphin is going to be getting beds similar to the Swans Heavenly beds but they will have a different name (can't remember the name) We split our 2 week stay between AKL and the Dolphin. We prefered the Dolphin and will be going back there next year for 2 weeks. The location can't be beat. Hopefully the rooms will be redone for our next visit! Happy planning!
