Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous here in the Midwest and Chicago area. :cloud9: Sunny, cloudless, clean, fresh air. :sunny:

We were out in the yard, doing a bit of 'checking things out' after the winter, and Doc was enjoying the day with us, checking things out for himself too. He is in the midst of his chemo treatments, having had about 5 so far, another 3 I think to go. He is always drained for a few days after each treatment, they do take a lot out of him. His last was this past Tuesday, so he was in fine form by yesterday. paw:

Being the camera nut I am, I saw a few photo ops as I was watching him, so went in and got the camera. Here are a few from the ones I took.....

Just looking around, enjoying the day.

Doc sniffs the fresh air, seeing what he can smell out there.

He hears something off in the next yard, a little more alert here.

And here Marie says something to him, his ears alert, head a bit cocked.

Well, that's it, a nice day in Chicago, another day for Doc to enjoy, thought I would share with you all.

To put this nice day in perspective, the picture below is of Doc back on Tuesday, after his treatment, relaxing, but beat from his treatment. (he still has his blue wrap, bandage (not his collar) on his right front paw from the chemo IV)

Hope everyone has a nice day.

He is a spectacular dog!!!!!! Just gorgeous!!!!

We do love our fur babies, don't we????

Dan, how old is Doc and may I ask what kind of cancer does he have? He's beautiful, poor baby. I hope he does well.

{{{{{Doc}}}}}} You sure are a cutie!

Great pics, Dan. Thanks for sharing.

Sending :wizard: Doc's way for succesful treatments!

Doc has such a kind face! Thanks for sharing these with us. Wishing him much luck with the chemo and many, many more sunny afternoons! :sunny:

Oh, man! You just want to grab those ears and plant one on the top of that big ol' head! Hope the warmer weather (even in Chitown) makes it a little easier on him.

Gorgeous dog! What a noble face he has. My dog (who has liver disease) sends healing vibes and doggy hugs:dog::dog2:!

Beautiful pics of Doc, Dan. He has such an incredible face. We are sending him all of our best wishes as he continues his treatments. Thanks for sharing.

Tevagirl, Doc was 6 back in Oct, so about 6 1/2 now. He was diagnosed with lymphoma just a bit over 2 years ago. Untreated, always fatal in a very short time, maybe 8 weeks at the outside. Treated, with chemo, usually will go into remission for 12 or so months, then come out again. If treated again, possibility of again going into remission, but then after maybe another 12 months, that is usually it. Doc did go into remission after his first course of chemo 2 years ago, came out back in Feb of this year, back in treatment now and in remission. We do know where it will end, just not sure when. But, I guess that is true of us too. He is enjoying borrowed time, we are enjoying him.

And thanks for all your nice thoughts. :goodvibes
