What would you say the 'optimum' time is to spend at DLP on a first trip(for dd and dh!)??
Iv been playing around with prices, and if we go a week after I originally wanted then we can have 5n/6d for £609 or 6n/7d for £700,obviously we could go for less time, but why?!!
I'm also looking at the 'extras'-we definately want to do a character breakfast, but are thinking about the Cowboy cookout bbq or the Cowboy tea party, the prices are not much different so which would you say would be better?
Finally, can someone give me a ball park figure for Eurostar, just need a vague idea for how much extra to add on to the bill,it'd be for 4of us but only 3seats :)
I'm so desperate to go and book it now!!!

It depends on how busy it is.

We personally are done after 3 nights/4 days and this time we're just looking at going for 2 nights/3 days as it'd be January and last time we visited then there were no lines for the entire trip and the 4th day seemed a bit unnecessary.

If there's an offer that gives us the extra night free though then we'll probably spend an afternoon in the city. :)

Hi, on our first visit we did 3 nights/4 days. We felt this wasn't quite long enough and now normally do 4 nights/5days.

We didn't enjoy our lunch at the cowboy cookout but I have heard from lots of people who really liked it. The advantage of the lunch over the tea party is that it is a proper meal whereas the tea party is just cakes and pastries.

Can't help with Eurostar I'm afraid

the longest trip I've done has been 4nights/5days. I loved having 4 nights away, but to be honest 4 days in the parks would have been enough for me. So I'll probably be back to 3 nights/4 days next trip.

But, lots of people do go for 5, 6 or 7 days with little ones, and love it :).

Our first trip as parents back in 2009 we did 4 nights, by the last morning we were all ready to come home! That feeling soon passed though :rotfl2:

Last year we did 5 nights, but spend the first and last day traveling so had 4 full days in the park. The 4 days was a perfect amount of time to get everything done without rushing.

This year it's just a flying visit, we will arrive late on the Friday night (will drive over once DS has finished his last day at school) and then get a late tunnel crossing on the Monday so we're home ready for DH to go to work on the Tuesday.

We know we won't get everything done in that time so i will be in planning mode for the next 6 months and we will concentrate on the tings that are a must for us :goodvibes

I would say that 3 days is probably the minimum to do most of the things in the 2 parks.

Thanks for the replies :) I might reduce the number of days then, and book another cheeky(secret) trip once xmas 2012 prices are out as I'll have saved money from our feb trip!hehe!
I think I have been bitten again by the Disney bug, oops!
