Hi. I'm sort of confused with a few things and hope you all can help. I have the disneyland app on my phone and sometime in the past I set up an account with the disneyland website.

1) I am only going on this trip with my husband so does he need to set these up also?

2) I have no idea of what either password is for the app or website (I just stay logged in) so do you suggest I reset both passwords and do they need to be the same or are they considered two separate things?

3) If I buy tickets thru disneyland.com how does the process work? I know I would go in a pick how many park tickets/days/hoppers but what happends next? For some reason this is confusing me - lol.

4) I understand phone batteries can run out after a long day so if my phone runs out I can use my husbands but do I sign in as me or him (if I need to have him sign up)? He would rather me handle everything so hoping I can just do everything for the two of us (for example maxpass etc). So would I have to sign out on my phone and sign in on his?

Told you all I'm confused! I know this is all basic but maybe if I hear it from someone it will make more sense.

Thx in advance. Mary

1) You can do it all on your app. You’ll just have both tickets in a group on yours and he won’t have to worry about it! He can still sign in on his and do it, but he doesn’t have to.

2) It should be the same password for both. Your phone will usually have a saved password settings area, but if you’re uncomfortable, just reset your Disney password and you should be good.

3) This one I’m not sure. I think you get a confirmation email with your tickets with a barcode they scan at the entrance.

4) You could totally sign in on his, or if he has an account just start using that if the tickets are linked to it as well. Or keep a charger on hand. You can get a Fuel Rod at various locations through the park for, I believe, $30. Charge your phone and then exchange it for a fresh one! Or just bring a cheaper one with you. Makes things a bit less stressful!

@mamamary TikiTroll gave some great advice I'll second it all.

I would suggest having the app on your husbands phone as a back up, either using an account with his name or yours, doesn't matter but its a good backup. As you said, the app can & will drain your phone. I do suggest closing it completely when you can, not just leaving it running in the background.

No, you can make MaxPass reservations and manage tickets and reservations all from the same account - 2 will just make it more confusing.

2) I have no idea of what either password is for the app or website (I just stay logged in) so do you suggest I reset both passwords and do they need to be the same or are they considered two separate things?

Just reset either on the app or the website. Your password will be the same for each. This login/password combo is actually your account for all Disney accounts - Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise, ESPN, etc.

3) If I buy tickets thru disneyland.com how does the process work? I know I would go in a pick how many park tickets/days/hoppers but what happends next? For some reason this is confusing me - lol.

You'll receive an "E-Ticket" which you can either add to your Disneyland App digitally, or print out and present at the gate.

It's probably a good idea to already have the app downloaded on your husband's phone. You would sign in as yourself - I recommend not signing him up (like I said, 2 accounts gets confusing). No, you do not need to sign out on your phone. I've done this with my family before, and my sister and my mom can both be logged into my account on their phones, and there isn't a problem.

Also, I suggest purchasing a small portable battery with you so that you can recharge your phone throughout the day. They are inexpensive on Amazon.

I would advise resetting your password so you're sure you know what it is. The app can be a bit glitchy and sometimes requires re-logging in at random times. Even with FaceID enabled for the app on my iPhone I've had it require me to put in the actual password a couple of times so reset it to be sure you are prepared for this.

Just visited DL the first time on Mon & Tue. I purchased tickets online and they automatically showed up in the Disneyland app in the "tickets" section. (you also get confirmation email) When we got to the gate the 1st day they scanned the tickets from my phone and they gave us paper tickets to use for the rest of the visit (to get into the parks and for FP if we didn't want to use phone). This process is explained when purchasing tickets online if you read through the material.

I brought along our portable phone charger as the app does wear your phone battery down. I also signed into the DL app on my husband's phone with my DL account (same account info as WDW I believe). As others say, just use ONE account. MaxPass was super easy to use and totally worth the extra cost.

Thanks. Things are slowly making sense now lol
