Judy, I presume they did a mammogram and ultrasound as well? If she has any doubts or concerns at all she can get another opinion. They will often do a biopsy of a suspicious lump to be sure. Hate to hear the stories of not enough being done early on, you know? PM me if I can be of any help.

I am with "P" - get a second opinion..... just dealing with a situation where a person was told they had metastic disease so opted not to have treatment for primary cancer - and now (6 months later) they feel she DOESN'T have metastatic disease....having diagnostic testing done.

If you are near a large city/teaching hospital/cancer center....urge your friend to seek a second opinion...so she can get good news twice

As I sit here and read this responses to Judy's post I am overwhelmed. First thank you to Judy for posting this and being so concerned! Second I apologize to my dear scrap addicts friends for not telling ya'll!

Thank you so much for your time, thoughts, prayers and pixie dust! You didn't even know who it was and you did all that. I wasn't going to respond but then I thought this board has brought many wonderful people and things into my life. I will not let one person, troll or whatever this person wants to be called control me. I don't appreciate the nasty emails but if it makes this person have a better day then that's OK with me. Each time I receive an email from this person I stop and pray for them. I pray that if their heart is hurting it will be healed. I cannot understand or imagine why anyone would say the things to someone like this person has said to me. They don't even know me or they wouldn't be doing this.

Back to what's important. Ya'll! Thank you so much!!! My 8 year old daughter lost her leg to cancer when she was a year old. She has fault long and hard to beat this.

To answer some questions. I went for my regular check up which I never miss because I have a lump they continue to watch. Went for my mammo and ultrasound, met with another doctor. I still wasn't satisfied. I needed to hear it from my surgeon. I have had biopsies before and he knows me well. We are near a major cancer center so I am in good hands. Because of what our daughter went through and how fast it grew I think I am over cautious.

K & her family are some of the nicest people you will ever meet here on earth. I have no idea why someone would be so mean and hateful!

I prayed for peace on this person's heart, mind & soul. That she would allow God to heal her bitter heart & give her a new heart of tenderness, compassion and concern for others.

Kelli - That is a rough road. I know. Even the good news takes so mo stressful stuf fto get to it. I can't imagine having your family history and going through that. Just wanted to say big congrats on the news!!! Glad that you can breathe easier now!
