I've been reading others' posts and am a little confused about the current Anna & Elsa M&G in Norway. If the World Showcase doesn't open until 11:00, how are people lining up at RD for this without an early breakfast ADR?

My dd6 and dd8 really want to meet them, but I'm trying to decide if it's worth lining up for this at RD vs. heading straight to TT (using FFP for Soarin). Any chance A&E show up at our Akershus dinner?

Advice is appreciated.

Guests can access Norway at Park Opening, but all that is open is Akershus and a small part of the shop.:)

Until 11:00 AM,there are ropes between Norway and China and between France and Morocco.

The only other things open before 11:00 AM are the bakery in France and World Traveler(the shop at the International Gateway).

No chance for the Frozen girls at Akershus.

Thanks. That is very helpful. Now I just need to decide if I should do the M&G at RD or go directly to TT. Any idea how long it's taking for people to get through the M&G if they go first thing? We will ride TT for sure, and I'd rather skip the M&G than spend half my day in the TT line. But If M&G moves quickly, I'm kind of hoping we can do both. We will be there 4/3.

We were there two weeks ago, and were the first in line for the meet - we were able to get in early because of an Akershus ADR and got in line around 8:20. We finished our meet at 9:10, and when we left, the line was 3 hours. The lines for A&E are the longest anywhere at Walt Disney World right now - 5-6 hours is common.

OP, you don't say when you are visiting. Just so you know, A/E are moving to the MK (with fastpass) as of 4/20.

1. As PP said, the World Showcase is accessible at park opening for everyone. If you have a preopening ADR at Akershus, you could enter the A&E line before the park even opens.

2. This is going to sound like an exaggeration, but riding TT before getting in line for A&E will very likely add hours to your M&G wait time. FP+ TT and get in line for A&E as soon as you can possibly get to Norway. Get to the park 30 to 45 minutes before the park opens so you can be at the front of the line at the turnstile and hightail it back to Norway as soon as they let you in.

3. No chance A&E show up at a character meal anytime soon. Rapunzel has been really popular for three years and she's been rumored to be added to every princess meal, and yet, she never has. We're a long way off from A&E at character meals. The M&G and the parade are it for A&E so far.

OP said she was planning to FP Soarin', and unfortunately you can't FP both.

D'oh, read right over that. Rainy Saturday brain. OP, is there a second adult in your traveling party? If so, one can go get in line while the other takes the kids on TT.

Thanks, everyone. I think we will skip A&E. I told my girls we will wave to them in the parade...like we did to Rapunzel three years ago when we went to MK right after Tangled came out ;-)

Does anyone know if or how extra magic hours would affect the wait to meet Elsa and Anna? Can you get into line earlier that way or no?

ETA: Oops, never mind, it looks like Epcot does't do EMH. Oh well! No wonder no one mentions that as an option!

When are you going? A&E move to MK as of April 20 and FP+ are available for them in MK.

Otherwise, yeah, seems like what people are doing is booking early morning Akershus breakfast, skipping it (or having one person skip it to get in line) and paying the $10 noshow fee and being ok with that. Sad part is that some poor little girl wanted to see her favorite princess but mom couldn't get a reservation because everyone snatched up their phantom ADRs they aren't going to use.

A&E have never been one of the characters at the breakfast.

Epcot does do EMH. A&E don't start any earlier or stay any later, though, so you could get in line at 8, but they won't start meeting until 9.
