A dress question

I've been looking at simple dresses for my VR. Most of the ones I like seem to be satin. How bad does satin wrinkle?

It depends. If it's poly(ester) satin (which most dresses under $1,000 are) it doesn't wrinkle as much as silk satin.

However many brides on this boards pay between $80-$100 to have their dresses steamed on or before their wedding day. My dress was 100% cheapo polyester and it still needed steaming.

I would have carolyn Allen's steam it for you just to be safe..I think satin does seem to wrinkle more than other fabrics.
