I feel like I learn something new every single time I visit this site. This is just a place for me to note those that are kind of cool or that I want to remember for later.

Owner's Locker just haven't figured out what people put in them

6/9/13: Today I learned about Boma and am considering cancelling my reservation for The Wave in exchange for one at Boma. I don't like buffets but my spouse loves them and I have to admit the photos of the food at Boma look AmAzInG!

6/12/13: Today I learned that I must try an apple from Karamel Kuche.

6/17/13: Today I learned Marie appears at the flag poll. Yeah!

6/26/13 I've been skimming through a 2012 edition of the Unofficial Guide and learned about the Plaza Restaurant. I've never seen it mentioned here.

Took quite a long break due to being overwhelmed.

9/29/13 Today I learned that unused tickets are good indefinitely. I also customized our bands and made FP+ choices.

We were supposed to close on our house today. It's our first house and yet I'm having a difficult time getting excited because I love where I live right now and not ready to move to another city yet again (8th move in 10 years). But the closing has been put off due to the ice maker leaking and flooding the entire downstairs of the home. On the good side, we don't have to be out of our current residence until the end of the month. Also, we're getting new floors and upgrading the carpeted areas to hardwood and they are painting so I get to pick the color that I want instead of mostly plain white.

I feel very grateful for the house, but still I just can't get over leaving here.

Went to JoAnns today and got a lot of great deals! Purchased fabric for Ariel ballgown, Snow White outfit, and Minnie Mouse skirt. Everything was 40% off so way less than I would have paid online and I got to match the colors IRL so I feel better about it. I'll put up a picture tomorrow as the light is gone now.

Also went by the Disney outlet store. I got flip-flips for both girls for the pool, an Ariel swimsuit for Izzy, two t-shirts for D (one I'll make matching short for as a pj set), two Tervus type glasses (Mickey for D and Minnie for Izzy), and I'm pretty sure something I'm forgetting. :cool1:

Ok more fabric pictures. Hopefully, I'll have something sewn to show soon.

For Snow White outfit.

Ariel Ballgown

Minie Mouse Skirt

So I should have introduced my family. I'm darnheather I work from home and up until last year homeschooled my darling daughters. I love to sew and read and apparently plan! I've been to MK four or five times, Epcot once, and the other two parks not at all. As a family we went to DisneyParis in 2006 and Tokyo Sea in 2010. This will be the first trip for the rest to DisneyWorld. I love roller coasters but will be foregoing them this trip to concentrate on making it a great trip for the entire family.

Spouse is a captain in the army. Currently assigned to a post in VA but has been all over the world both with and without us. It's a Small World is his favorite ride. He absolutely can't tolerate roller coasters (even the kid ones), violently spinning rides (teacups are ok), or anything that goes upside down. I told him and D to ride the Big Thunder Mountain in DP because I remembered it being not that bad. They both came off wanting to kill me and pretty much refused to ride anything after that. :guilty:

D is 12 but is very excited about the upcoming trip. She remembers the other trips and likes talking to me about the plans I've made so far. She is getting a little braver with rides and at Spring Break in Busch Gardens she rode the pirate ship and a spinner ride with me, but no roller coasters. Her favorite ride is Pirates of the Caribbean because she loves the movies.

Izzy is 7 and clueless about the upcoming trip. Plan on keeping it a total secret from her! She does not remember the other trips. She loved the shows when she was a baby in DP and the Ariel musical in TS. She is a total princess and I know she'll be thrilled at the character meets and meals. She also doesn't like rides.

So why am I planning a family vacation to a theme park when the family doesn't do rides? Because the MK et al has so many wonderful rides that even my family will like. Jungle Cruise, PotC, Dumbo, Buzz, Toy Story, etc. Plus the shows are always fun and amazing. The Lion King was my favorite in Paris.

Today I sat down to embroider a t-shirt for Izzy for 4th of July and my embroidery machine is not working properly. This is terrible timing as I've got to get that shirt finished before we move and I've got so much that I want to embroider for Disney! After packing it up to take to the shop I did manage to sew her skirt and it came out super cute.

Yesterday I took my embroidery machine to a new to me sewing repair shop. I should have it back Wednesday so plenty of time to finish the outfit before we move. Also survived the 6th grade awards ceremony only breaking into tears once (Time of Your Life song set to photos) and the baseball party which I made I made it out to the car before I started crying. My D was the first girl to pitch in our league in over 5 years and she got a math award. I'm so proud of her.

Went to Ikea today to buy furniture for the new house. Was so nervous driving back with the bed frame on the roof of the van! Just glad that bit is over.

Have done nothing re the trip except try at look at the MS Bakery soft opening reviews and haunt this forum. :surfweb:

Thanks so much! Hopefully I'll sew tomorrow since I won't be able to pick up the embroidery machine. The service man called and said it needs a part. :scared:

Began sewing a bag for D yesterday. Don't have the hardware to finish it. Will have to make a special trip to get it because...our move is really messed up.

Movers were supposed to be coming Monday the 24. House was supposed to close 10, then 21, then 24. Found out today that the house won't close until 26th but even worse the movers won't come until the week of July 8th!!!!!!!!! Meanwhile still haven't heard back from landlord if that is even ok. :scared:

I'm going to need this trip.

Have been washing and cutting fabric the last few days. Tried to find the purse hardware at WalMart but no luck. Move has been changed again. I'm at the point that I don't want to do anything as far as preparation goes. When the truck shows up then I'll believe it. :upsidedow
