A dream is a wish your heart makes Oct 2012 - Pre Trip Report

Part 9 - Vow renewal pt1

Hi again, during our planning last year we decided that we would in fact renew our marriage vows. This has been wonderful to plan, as first time around we didn't have a great deal of fuss at all, and our marriage has had a lot of ups and downs, like most peoples. We just feel that we would like to say 'I do' all over again to re-affirm our love to one another.

Lots of planning has taken place for this and eventually 15 months later everything is finalised, so here goes.

Where, when and who?

The ceremony will take place at Fulton's Crab House. We didn't have any difficulty choosing this. As soon as we saw that it was offered we instantly picked it. The date it will take place is at 11am on the 15th October 2012.

After the ceremony, we will have lunch on board Fulton's, and then retire to OKW where we will have a little pool time, before getting dressed again and head to the Grand Floridian for drinks in Mizners, then a sit down meal in Citricos.

The party is quite small, consists of our little family of 6. Nicks parents and step father. Our friends, Jean, Phil & Rhys and 5 more friends from the UK, totalling 17 of us. Sadly one of my close friends lost her battle to cancer earlier this year and wont be with us. She and her daughter were going to be a big part of our day, but unfortunately wont be there.

The colour scheme

We always wanted ivory and burgundy, but we have thrown in a black and white polka dot to make things stand out. You will soon see as I add lots of photos of bits and piece how the colour scheme works.

Floral

Our flowers are been arranged by 'flowers by Lesley' and I have gone for white/off white rose and calla lilly bouquet.

All button holes apart from Nicks are rose, his will be a calla lilly.

Charlotte is the flower girl of course and will have deep red roses in her little petal basket.

Beth has opted for a corsage instead of a mini bouquet.

Either side of the alter we are having an arrangement of flowers which will be mainly white with a little deep red/burgundy. This is what we are after:

On the table we are having trio of vases with a white rose in water and a polka ribbon around the bottom. Similar to this, if you can get the picture.

Part 10 - Vow renewal pt2

Hi there, so onwards and upwards with our renewal details. Over the past few months I have been designing and making lots of things for our day. Here are a few of those things.

We have my monogram that I designed a few months ago, this has been used on most of my bits and pieces.

Next we have my place cards for Fulton's, I still need to make some for Citricos.

Order of the day, and invites are next.

Next we have the welcome notes which will be on the dining table at Fulton's.

I also got this idea from some on here, and knew it would be fun to re create for our family.

I am giving each group/family a gift bag, which will have a gift individual to each person from Nick & I, fans (were made from a seller on Etsy), pen, order of the day, and some sweeties. Also shown is the gift tag I did too.

I had this made up, for my trip report notes too.

Lastly, I have my wedding dress box. there are lots of other things, but I need to locate all images to show you.

More details to come soon, thank you for reading along.

We have had so much fun planning it.:dance3: I highly recommend it Helen!! It can by done on any budget really. Would have loved the wedding pavilion, but it was never going to happen. Doing it at DTD meant there was still that magic of Disney, which the big price tag.

Thank you for you sympathy for Caroline my dearest friend. xx

Congrats on your vow renewal! Your bouquet is stunning and I love calla lilies. You planned so well! I can't wait to see pictures. My condolences for the loss of your friend. :(

Hi there :welcome: to my PTR. I was going to do this condensed one on the uk forum, but thought a change would be good. Not sure if you followed the old report, but it had become too much like a blog, I didn't want that at all. Al this is is planning for my favourite place on earth.

How are your plans coming along? Hope we manage to bump into you and your lovely family to say hello.

Thanks once again xx

Part 11 - Vow renewal Pt3

So where were we? a little more on our special day? here goes then...

Let me show you what we are all going to wear. I will begin with the girls, then boys, Nick and finally myself.

Beth was going to wear to a short burgundy dress and i was happy to secure a dress from Ebay, although she wasn't happy with it, and in the end we went with an Alfred Angelo full length gown which she chose herself. It is the colour in the first image, and the design of the second one. It should arrive into the bridal boutique next week for a fitting. I love the jewelled area across the bust.

Accessories for Beth's hair include one of this little combs but in silver and burgundy, which are quite cute. This one was bought for her prom in may. I also think she will wear the same necklace you can see in the photo too.

Her shoes are these, and are pretty. You wont really see them to be honest as her dress is full length.

Onto Charlotte, we have had lots of ideas for her, and at first we purchased this cute little outfit for her, which she will now wear in the evening, it was a bargain too.

For the day actual ceremony, she is also having an Alfred Angelo dress. The colour is obviously same as Beth's, and the tulle is ivory.

We are still looking for shoes for her, but we do like these. although her size isn't in stock at the moment.

She has this I bought her early last year, and also has a hair-slide same as Beth. We also got the cute little bag, again not sure if she will use it. The reason is, we are not sure whether she will have her hair like this or just down and curled.

:dance3:Thank you for reading all, back with details of the boys outfits later :dance3:

Part 12 - Vow renewal Pt 4

So onwards with the boys outfits. Brandan, was a difficult one, initially he didn't want to wear a full suit, but since his prom earlier this month, he has decided that he does in fact want to wear it. So has he is in this photo below is pretty much what he will wear. additionally there will be a burgundy tie.

Max on the other end has a cute little set that I purchased last year for pennies. Here is is with Brandan :cool1: Also got him some very grown up shoes to finish his outfit off.

Onto Nick, well all he has upto now his is shoes:rotfl2: which are quite nice. i will hopefully be getting his suit next month, and it should look something along these lines...

Finally, myself... I originally bought a dress from China!! Big mistake, it was terrible, I managed to get a refund, and spent a while looking at lots of dresses, before eventually going to a proper boutique. I eventually decided on a Alfred Angelo A line dress. It wasn't what i first had my eye one, and surprised myself with the choice. Here it is being modelled by a size 0 stick lady :dance3:

My shoes are very simple, I got them in the sale reduce from £88 to £21 WooHoo!!

My hair will be down and curled, and I have purchased this pretty thing, but not sure whether I am going to wear it yet or not, being very indecisive :rotfl:

I also have match earrings and necklace, which are very nice. Hidden Mickey's are always good;)

:cheer2:More holiday planning coming up!!:cheer2:

Part 13 - I love being creative

Over the past 18 months I have spent a lot of time designing bits and pieces for the up and coming holiday. If I may, I will share a few of those bits and pieces with you.

Countdown chains - I designed this back in 2011, and the children had a little play back then, but it wasn't until we got to 150 days to go that we made use of them. here are some of them on the banister. (Sorry for the quality of photo, it was taken on my phone!!)

Countdown calendars - now I made these for each month, and when we got to 150 days to go we stopped, as the children wasn't too bothered anymore:sad2:

Countdown Mickey Heads - for our 2010 countdown I downloaded lots of Mickey heads and in putted numbers onto, printed, laminated and placed around our hallway. Everyone commented on them, and have since re designed all my own mickey heads and re did if at 150 days to go. Yes, I know, I am mad!! Sorry about the photo quality, it didn't stitch together very well!!

Next we have lots of various images I have designed for t-shirts etc...

$ envelopes, I have mouse keeping that I have done too somewhere...

I have made my younger 2 autograph books too, here are their front covers. I have enclosed you a couple of sample pages. Every page is different. I made something similar for 2010, but very basic. All 4 of my children loved the extra attention they received because of these. They are A5 in size and held together with a comb.

Thank you for reading guys xx

:cheer2:Come back soon for more!!:cheer2:
