Since I am on the DISboard almost everyday, sometimes even several times a day, I thought I should do a PRE-TRIP plan. (So I hope I do this right.)

THIS OUR FIRST DISNEY TRIP TOGETHER!!

Who?
princess: Me--Charlotte (crzyeeyoreangel)
RSCN0171.jpg

The 25 almost 26 year Princess at heart. (I will be 26 as March 8th) I work at center for people with Developmental Disablities, which is one the hardest but most rewarding jobs on the planet. I love my job. I have always dreamed of Disney Vacation since I was small child.

A 25 almost 26 years (we are three days apart). He works for AT&T as Information Services Assistant. He went to Disneyland as child but doesn't remember it.

We have been married for almost 4 years but we were poor college kids and didn't get a real honeymoon. So I am considering this the honeymoon we never had.

When--
Disney--April 25-May2
We are officially leaving on Friday April 24, 2009. We are rent a car from Enterprise and the DH is driving from Owensboro, Kentucky. Which is about 813 miles. The plan is drive about half way. So I will be at Disney World the afternoon of the Saturday April 25, 2009. We have 8 days 7 nights (thanks to the 4/3 Deal) but I dont know if are staying the whole time. Me getting off work is an issue.

Itinerary--
These is what I am thinking but is also subject to change and open to the opinions and suggests.
April 24-Leave Kentucky and drive to Atlanta or further if possible.
April 25-Arrive at WDW, Check in, go to MK and see a parade!
April 26-MK with EMH until 1am
April 27-DHS with EMH (if needed)
April 28-OPEN
April 29-EP
April 30-AK
May 1-Downtown Disney and a park repeat if desired, Leave WDW, Stop about half way home.
May 2-Continue back to Kentucky

I have been thinking about character meals, I know that is going to be a suggestion. But right now I am trying to save the money to pay the remaining balance on the trip. I am praying for a nice tax return this year, to help with this.

Random Stuff--Mostly for me to Remember (but feel free to use)

Shopping List
  • over-the-door shoe hanging bag.
  • collapsible laundry hamper
  • liquid hand soap
  • power strip
  • water mister fans
  • small first aid kit
  • small fan
  • clothes pins
  • glow sticks
  • plug in
  • clip on sunblock
  • clip on antibacterial gel
  • lanyard

Pictures:

  • Right near the Partners statue, in front of the castle, there are little statues of several of the Disney characters.
  • We also like the Nemo characters outside of Living Seas.
  • Bruce is inside and to the left.
  • The extra ride vehicles that you can pose on outside of the rides, such as Dumbo,
  • Roy and Minnie statue by the flag pole in Town Square.
  • Pleakly (from Lilo and Stitch)statue!
  • DTD by the Lego statues and by the statues of Pooh. Tigger.
  • Buzz Lightyear ride, the emporer zurg is in jail and one of the bars is missing. You can squeeze into the jail with the emporer zurg and get your picture taken.
  • Inside innoventions in Epcot. You actually get your pic taken while lying across a block, then they extract you from the background and put you into the one you chose.

Anyone have anymore fun places to take pictures. I love to hear them!

I haven't read the whole thread yet, but you will see several Kodak sponsored "neat photo" sites throughout the parks. One of my favorite photos is of Corey with the Cigar Store Indian on Main Street USA. It's just one of those pictures that I will always cherish because I see her inner child behind her eyes in that photo.

Anyway, I am sure that you will find lots of great places to take photos. :thumbsup2
