That comment by the CM was pretty crass! I doubt if that is in the Disney CM handbook. "Always point out that guests who stay Deluxe are superior to those who stay Value or Mod." Oh my......

Did y'all get to Chef Mickey's just as they were beginning to serve dinner? I'm asking because the buffet looks very fresh and full, like the hoards haven't descended upon it yet. For any of us buffet-phobes, that is something to keep in mind - go early!! That is a shame about the rude guests, but that seems to be common these days. Why can't people just be courteous any more?

You have some great pics with the characters! How cute that you and Minnie matched! Did you plan that or was it just by chance? It must have been by chance, or you would have had a red and white polka-dot bow in you hair. I see you have on your cute necklace!

Yeah, I thought that CM's comment was pretty uncalled for. You could tell he was one of those people who thought he was better than everybody else.

I think our ADR was shortly after they opened. We like to do that so the buffet isn't all nasty yet!! Everything was very good and the place was very clean. I just couldn't believe all the pushy people.

Yes my outfit was planned!! I found that tank top at Penney's last summer on the clearance rack for like $3 and I knew I had to have it for Chef Mickey's! I did mention something about wearing a bow in my hair but the kids said they would be embarrassed.

Great update!! Love your pics of the Poly. Our last trip to Chef Mickeys was the same way we had several adults budge in line and push. By the end of our meal we were so annoyed!

I can't believe that CM made that comment about CBR! It amazes me how differently people see things. I felt like I was royalty staying at CBR! And to be honest, I thought CBR offered MANY of the same perks as the deluxe resorts. Covered bus stops, ceiling fans, a fridge, pool w/ slides, hot tubs, movie nights, campfires, table service restaurant, gorgeous grounds... I could go on and on. No it's not on the monorail or across the lagoon from MK, but come on... it's still a VERY nice place! What a snoot!

We experienced the line cutters, pushers and shovers at the buffets on the cruise as well. I don't get people. They act like the food is never replenished so if they don't get it NOW, it's going to be gone. It's ridiculous.

I love your 'Minnie Mouse' outfit! Very cute! And the one of your boys with her...

I know!! I was just like -- I couldn't believe he said that. Jerk. There's nothing wrong with CBR. We've stayed at a few deluxes now and we still love CBR!

Yes, the buffet cutters sure act like if they don't get their food RIGHT NOW they are going to have to go without or something. Crazy!

I love that your photos of Chef Mickey actually show the inside of the restaurant and what the buffet looks like. Usually restaurant pictures are only close-ups of the food, or close-ups of the characters.

I know, the Poly is easy to photograph - it's always looking fabulous!!

Too bad the other guests don't have any manners. As my mom used to say, they must have been raised in a barn. I think you are right - they are just in a hurry to eat and run off to the parks - what a lame way to have a vacation - but there is no reason to be rude to other people because they have to eat and Pooh, I mean see Pooh.

And that CM - very unmagical comment. What is with some people? I would have spoke to a lead about that comment - it was backhanded put down.

I bet there are more people who spend more money visiting WDW by staying at CBR than staying at the Poly, because they can stay longer on property.

Wow I was so far behind! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Sounds like a fun road trip to NC. I kinda wish we could go somewhere for Thanksgiving- everyone comes to my house ugh!
Looking at the Poly pics makes me feel like I'm looking at my own vacation lol! I wish we could go back. Those ducks over at the quiet pool were obnoxious!! It was like we were invading their territory. I love CM the food is good!! We haven't been in a few years. To many restaurants- not enough time

I have Kouzzina scheduled for our last morning but JB changed our return flight time by 55 mins so not sure if we can make it or not for ME pickup. Might end up doing Boardwalk Bakery very early 6:30 am, earliest ADR for Kouzzina is 7:30am

You've changed resorts so many times I forget where you are staying!! BWI??? They also have breakfast in the Bell Vue Lounge there. We never went, but it's available. I think it's mostly continental stuff, so it's probably pretty cheap.

If you are staying at the BWI will you be going down the clown slide or are you scared of it??? He's nice - I promise!
