I just recieved a postcard today ( and one similar last week ) with a really gorgeous woman on the front. Then the back says "Call me to get your free DVD where you can see a "whole lot" more of me...... You must be 21 or older.

Same thing, but I'm convinced that the SCHOOL sold their mailing list.

I NEVER EVER EVER used my building name on anything, yet conveniently it listed the room number and building name JUST like the university lists it!

Yep, very interesting. There's no doubt in my mind they do that, although they'd never admit (both my roomate and I got the card on the same day.) I'm sure there'd be some unhappy parents here (we ARE a Conservative state) if they knew the school was selling the list to Playboy!

My DH got a few weird ones a few years back. He had inadvertently gone to a XXX website, that's the only thing we can think triggered this (yes, I know it was accidental, he generally doesn't use the computer for such things). The junk mail was DISGUSTING! I can't even describe most of it--hermaphrodites, various really perverted stuff, not what I would consider "normal" (naked people doing various things) porn. I didn't even want to touch the thing (although I was a little amused--poor DH wa SOOO embarassed!). It was technically an ad for a service where you deduct from your checking account versus a credit card--probably to hide the fact that you like this type of porn. Naturally, all the "advertisers" accepted this service. We couldn't burn it fast enough.

Never, ever order anything from the Frederick's of Hollywood catalogue. You'll immediately be put on the mailing list for the Playboy catalogue.

I can only imagine what the people at the post office think! I live in a small town and they know me personally because I collect Disney snowglobes and I'm always up there picking them up. They must think I'm some kind of Disney-Perv.

I used to pick up the mail for my department at work, and this one guy used to get the "Adam & Eve" catalogs - at work! It was always fun to see if he immediately tossed the thing, or if he hung onto it.
