I've got to be honest and say your trip sounds exhausting - exciting, fantastic and action-packed but exhausting and I think your idea of staying in one place in the future is definitely sound.

I had a plan for next August in LA that involved flitting from hotel to hotel - my DS14 has already vetoed it and said he'd rather stick with one hotel and drive/get cabs rather than keep changing. So, maybe the kid has a wise head on young shoulders after all - not that I'm going to tell him that of course!

Can't wait to see your pics - it'll make next summer seem even more believable...

That's a real bore with HIE - fingers crossed you get it sorted asap.

...then came home to catch up with my guys. Dad was here, DS came home shortly after we did. I never realize how much I miss my husband til I see him...my heart actually jumped when I saw him waiting for us at the airport

Yes, California is beautiful, but the traffic is not. It has changed as a state from when I was born here in '64 to what it is today. Way back then, we had orchards in our neighborhood and farm roads where now the highways run. I say San Jose was a great place to grow up but a hard place to raise kids. Of course when we look at other places to move to...we end up only looking on the coast as the weather and the accessability to everything is moments away from your fingers...that is the high price we pay for the beautiful weather.

I've been uploading Stefanie's pics...

She had left her camera at the pruneyard and while she was waiting for it to be shipped to her I let her use my Olympus. I loaded her San Francisco pics into the album you created Nan (which has since been changed to StefandNans Pics.) I did that the day they went to Mission beach and Britt and me hung out at the hotel in San Diego. As soon as she sends me the rest of what she took I'll be adding them in as well. Our buzz lightyear photos I had emailed to me are in my photoalbum (the Nikon page.)

I took over 800 and have only loaded about 20 so far. I've been busy cleaning since I woke up and need to get a shower as well. I should have all my stuff loaded by the end of the day and will start sharing as soon as that's done.

~I have all the documentation I need to fix my Holiday Inn faux pas...lesson learned~from here on out I'll be finding another way to cover hotel costs so at least my cash can be safe~

Glad you are home safely & enjoyed our beautiful state (well most of it anyway)...ahhh - the traffic.....can't even go there i guess....it's been like that since i was transplanted here 20+ years ago....i think i've lived here now as long as I lived in Iowa....so i think i'm a 'native' now....since leaving England at such a YOUNG age....where is home really???? Temps can be COLD here - especially San Fran - the warm afternoons of late summer & fall are awesome...it gets DARN hot here in Gilroy but is usually cool on the coast where my office is located....so i get both climates 5 - 6 days a wk!

Well i've been working on our NYC trip...got the baseball tix purchased today....going to see the Yanks play my Giants in 2 wks, then get to see the Yanks at home on the 23rd of Sept - but they are playing Toronto then....which is okay - i can cheer for my DJ with no guilt!!

I have it, just this little thing called work is in the way of uploading. Didn't you say there is a thing to download to make it easier. Posting each pic into the browse spot is a PITA. You may be getting disc in snail mail soon...

I just finished loading up all the Disneyland and California Adventure pictures!

They are all finally in my photobucket, I can post them to my trip report tomorrow~I am so proud of the Disney park photos! I am actually in some since Nan isn't shy about using my camera
