A Disney Magical Express question?

I've just received today, the WDW holiday planning DVD. :happytv: It mentions the 'Disney Magical Express'. We have booked with VH with free transfers. The last two times we've been with VH, 'Mears' have transported us. Is the DME available to UK visiters? Are there any benefits for doing this? :surfweb:

Hi. We have just come back from POR Riverside and we used the Magical Express. It was OK, you have to collect your luggage at the first carosell and then once you drop it at the second one you don't see your luggage until it's delivered to your room (this can take severel hours). It was handy cause the kids got to watch a disney film to get them in the mood and you don't have to lug your cases to your room when you arrive at your hotel.

If you use this service coming home, we found it easier checking in using the DTD virgin check-in in the morning (gets rid of your cases and you don't have to worry about them at the airport) and then getting the magical express coach back to the airport with only our hand luggage to worry about.

I hope this helps

A lot of people recommend you picking up your bags at the second carousel and taking them to the DME buses yourself as they may not turn up in your room for hours after you have arrived! I would query it with VH, we are flying with Virgin Atlantic but have booked through Thomas Cook and have got it.

We used ME last trip and its great. It did take a while for the bags to arrive but it was a Saturday and very busy! We booked through VH this year and are using ME, just call VH and ask for your Disney reservation number then call the ME number to book. You will get your luggage labels and instructions approx 3 weeks before!

You can use magical express as long as you are staying on site.We have just had our details sent through, though they are wrong so I have to call them to update the booking.Depending on your arrival time eg as we are not arriving into MCO till nearly 18.00 we are taking our bags through to the bus ourselves as last year we didn't get them till about 21.00 and we arrived at the hotel at 1630 hrs.I know they give you a rough guide of 3 hrs for your bags to be delivered but by the time we had unpacked it was nearly 23.00.ME is an excellent service thats why we are using it again. You can book online and also there is a phone number.
Well worth it:thumbsup2

This will be my third time of using DME. to date have never had any luggage labels ever for our bags, so i wouldnt worry to much if you dont get them.
I always take my bag to the DME, and that way I have my luggage instantly once i get to my hotel.

Coming back I use DTD checkin, late check out at the hotel, and hop on the bus, its so much easier.

Personally the DME really makes me feel like im really on holiday, once Im onboard and watching the screen, i finally know im home LOL
