A Disney Filled Spring Break-4 Parks & a Magical Cruise! *New 12/11- Completed!*

Looks like a wonderful trip! I am really enjoying your TR and love that you have so many photos! popcorn:: It's fun to see the changes since we were last there in 2011. I've read a couple of your other TRs and have loved following along with your many Disney adventures!

Your son is about the same age as our boys were when we started taking Disney trips (they are 19 & 16 now) and while we've only been to WDW & DL, your stories bring back lots of cherished memories. :goodvibes Can't wait to read more!

You are so very talented. Wish I had even a little bit of crafting ability. Really enjoying your trip report so far .. Can't wait to read more!

Welcome, Maddie2! You are too kind! One thing we will not lack in is photos. I seem to try and capture as much as I can in photos. Some of that is being a scrapbooker but I also just really adore Disney details.

I can't even think about the teenage years. I know it goes by so fast! I just want to cherish every little moment along the way.

You are so very talented. Wish I had even a little bit of crafting ability. Really enjoying your trip report so far .. Can't wait to read more!
What a nice compliment, JayhawkFans! Welcome! Sometimes I feel like my crafting projects take on lives of their own and before I know it things are completely out of hand. I do enjoy it though and a bit of Disney crafting is a great way to fill in the days of anticipation before a trip or between trips.

Storybook Circus was a much anticipated part of New Fantasyland for me. I was excited to finally be stepping foot there! As you can see we were having a bit of rain but it really wasn't much.
ry%3D480

We had umbrellas just in case though....
ry%3D480

We did pop into Big Top Souvenirs while the light shower passed...
ry%3D480

I had remembered reading about the popcorn pin trading here on the DIS so I knew I wanted to look for that in Big Top Souvenirs. It's a very clever way to display it. You can sort of make out a Miss Piggy in the bottom corner. My mom traded for that one.
ry%3D480

We also each chose something from Big Top Treats while there. You can see my mom to the right there checking out a t-shirt she liked.
ry%3D480

This is the one and she did end up getting it. It was a perfect choice for the Flower and Garden festival the next day!
ry%3D480

Back to the treats!
ry%3D480

Yummy!
ry%3D480

One of these marshmallow treats was my pick.
ry%3D480

Reagan chose a carmel apple and my mom had a peanut butter cookie....
ry%3D480

While my mom and Reagan were finishing up their treats I wandered around a bit in Storybook Circus and took a few pictures. This is the entrance on the opposite side of Big Top Souvenirs...
ry%3D480

The circus train water play area is adorable!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Some of the banners in this area...
ry%3D480

The barnstormer busting through the billboard...
ry%3D480

I was making my way back over to where my Mom and Reagan were enjoying their goodies when I spotted clowns! I was curious what was going on and I wanted to take a few pictures so I popped over....
ry%3D480

It turns out they were doing a bit of improv reenacting of Little Red Riding Hood. Apparently my red cardigan made me a shoe-in for Little Red. I had to use the advice I gave Reagan earlier about "only living once" and "getting involved to enrich your experience" for myself at this point. It is a little out of character for me in "real" life but it felt right at Disney so I just went with it. Here is the clown recruiting me....
ry%3D480

It was a thrill a minute!
ry%3D480

Next they found a BIG-BAD-WOLF....
ry%3D480

At this point Reagan spotted me in my shenanigans and came over. You can see him there to the right. He was like, "Mom, what have you gotten yourself into?" I blamed it on the red sweater. The clowns next recruited a security guard who was swooped in and saved the day.
ry%3D480

We all lived happily ever after...

I still have Dumbo and Pete's Silly Sideshow to share in the next entry before I finish up with Storybook Circus.

Continuing on in Storybook Circus - Next up... DUMBO! I was glad when Reagan announced he wanted to ride! I think it's a classic Fantasyland pick!

ry%3D480

It is such a cute ride!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Reagan always looks a bit nervous when I put him on the ride and then start backing away for a quick photo. I like to capture the moment though...
ry%3D480

The second Dumbo ride along the side....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

We took advantage of the photo op together, too!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I feel like we had really good timing on Pete's Silly Sideshow. There was very little wait for each of the four greeting there. Love that!
ry%3D480

Reagan had a very fun meet with Daisy! They danced!....
ry%3D480

... and danced...
ry%3D480

Reagan was having a good time which is what it is all about!!
ry%3D480

SO Sweet! Makes me happy! It's the little moments like this that make Disney so special.
ry%3D480

He got her autograph....
http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a...0140319190752435.JPG/ps=50/r=0/rx=720/ry=480/

ry%3D480

This next one shows the area where she greets pretty well. It's very clever!
ry%3D480

The looked into Daisy's crystal ball together....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

My Mom got Daisy's autograph, too.
ry%3D480

Finally after all of that Daisy fun it was time for a group picture!
ry%3D480

Hugs goodbye...
ry%3D480

Up next... More fun at Pete's Silly Sideshow

Such yummy treats, the candle apples look like they are so tough to eat!

Good for you taking your own advice and joining in on the circus fun :)

The pictures with Daisy are so cute, looks like he's having a ball!

After our fun with Daisy we made our way over to visit with Minnie. I loved her pink poodle theme!
ry%3D480

Reagan visited with her first and she gave him her autograph...
ry%3D480

Her outfit here is adorable!
ry%3D480

She was captivating as usual. Reagan's expression here captures how charming Minnie is....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Our group pictures with Minnie...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

We were able to jump right back in line for the Great Goofini and Donald the Snake Charmer with little wait. Those photos are coming right up!

In no time at all we made it through the queue and were meeting The Great Gofini. He looks especially tall here next to Reagan....
ry%3D480

Reagan had to really, really look up when visiting with Goofy!
ry%3D480

Just chattin'....
ry%3D480

Reagan got Goofy's autograph. On a side note I had used a little 4x6 photo book as an autograph book this trip. I slipped 4 x 6 slips of cardstock in that we would take out to have the friends autograph during a meet. Once we were back home I organized the autographed pages along with the photos onto a scrapbook spread. I'm far from having this trip scrapbooked completely but on the character spreads we'll include the autographs. I really like being able to include the autograph in on the scrapbook layout.
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Reagan and Goofy....
ry%3D480

I had made a similar autograph book for my mom and we gave it to her on the first day of the trip. She will scrapbook the trip as well and can do something similar with her autographs.
ry%3D480

And a couple of pictures with all of us...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Donald the Snake Charmer was next up. Reagan started with hugs and another autograph...

Nothing quite like a big hug from the #1 Duck!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Reagan always found it amusing when the character propped the autograph book up on their nose, etc. in order to see to sign....
ry%3D480

This next one shows Donald's greet area well...
ry%3D480

And my mom got an autograph as well....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

And we wrapped things up with another group picture....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I feel like we had an optimum experience at Pete's Silly Sideshow. Maybe it was just our timing but everything was perfect. Very little wait time and great interactions. I love the themeing of it all! I think Disney did a fantastic job with this!

Coming up Next a bit more Fantasyland and heading towards Frontierland...

Such yummy treats, the candle apples look like they are so tough to eat!

Reagan did have a little trouble with his apple being hard to eat. He's at the age where loose teeth are common too which makes these big apples even harder to bite into. He did his best at the time. After lunch we ended up cutting it into slices and he was able to enjoy it better. They are also HUGE which meant he was more than willing to share with Nanny and I. It was delicious!

When we finished at Pete's Silly Sideshow we made our way through Fantasyland. We were starting to get hungry..... Reagan especially!

I was tempted to ride IASW at this point but Reagan was hungry and we had a FP+ coming up.
ry%3D480

We also needed a restroom break. This was the perfect opportunity to check out the Tangled restrooms...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Those skies still look a bit threatening...
ry%3D480

LOVE the tower!
ry%3D480

We tried to have lunch at the Pinocchio Village Haus...
ry%3D480

But after making our way around the building trying to find a way in we decided they are closed. Perhaps they are being remodeled. Does anyone know what they are doing to this space?

I've always loved how picturesque these cottage like facades at Pinocchio Village Haus are!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

We still had not found lunch but while we were in this area we used our FP+ for Peter Pan's Flight....
ry%3D480

Our flying ship!
ry%3D480

The ride photos I took myself didn't turn out. I was able to find a few here on the DIS boards that I'm looking forward to including on our scrapbook layout but none of mine are anything worth sharing. We all enjoyed this ride!

We still needed to feed Reagan. As we rounded the corner leaving Fantasyland we decided to go with Harbour House. Reagan and I shared a basket of chicken, fish and fries. Mom had the fish and chips. I also added a cobbler that was yummy! Following lunch we also were able to use a knife to cut up Reagan's carmel apple to share. All fed we were ready to move on.
ry%3D480

One of the plans that Reagan had while at Magic Kingdom was to try the Haunted Mansion for the first time. After lunch we walked over only to find that the ride was down. His other big first time plan was to ride BTMR so we headed that way. I took pictures on the walk over.

The Liberty Belle... The skies were looking a lot better at this point....
ry%3D480

Harper's Mill over on Tom Sawyer's Island
ry%3D480

A very cute little dock area...
ry%3D480

We passed through this area but didn't really give it as much attention as I would have liked. Much of it is on my list for when I visit again in a couple of months. I loved Tom Sawyer's island as a kid! I really would have loved to see it through Reagan's eyes this trip but it didn't work out this time. Isn't this a great map!?!
ry%3D480

Up next.... Reagan's first ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Reagan tends to pick a ride or two that are just outside of his usual comfort zone to try. For Magic Kingdom Big Thunder Mountain Railroad fell into this category. He was ready for it though and had a great time. We enjoyed sharing the experience with him!

I had fun photographing my way through the queue (as usual)...
ry%3D480

Have to try to remember to get a sign shot to use possibly use as a title on the scrapbook page...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I like how this next shot turned out. It's looking out the side of the queue toward the mountain as the train is coming...
ry%3D480

Look how the little geyser to the left is shooting up steam.... very clever! Only at Disney!
ry%3D480

There's my little guy. Getting a better look at what he's in for...
ry%3D480

Like I mentioned in the beginning, he was ready to love this ride and we all had a ton of fun on it!

We headed over towards Splash Mountain and found that it was being rehabed....
ry%3D480

Reagan checked out the Laughing Place play area while we were there..
ry%3D480

It was getting close to parade time which begins in Frontierland. We found a good place to sit and watch the parade at this point. This was one of the first days of the Festival of Fantasy parade and I was excited to see it! I'm excited to share it, too. In the next entry.....

The Main Street Philharmonic led the parade!
ry%3D480

It was exciting to see each new float round the corner into Frontierland! I really do think this is a good viewing spot.
ry%3D480

Belle and Beast were on the titled float...
ry%3D480

Cinderella and Prince Charming...
ry%3D480

Naveen and Tiana...
ry%3D480

The costumes throughout were all pretty special!
ry%3D480

Rupunzel on the Snuggly Duckling float...
ry%3D480

Again, more fantastic costumes...
ry%3D480

Ariel's float...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

The Lost Boys leading the way for Peter Pan and Wendy...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Captain Hook was swinging on a hook from a rainbow on the underneath side of the Peter Pan float...
ry%3D480

Smee!
ry%3D480

And Tink was on the back of the float...
ry%3D480

The Brave float!
ry%3D480

Here comes Merida!
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

My camera battery died at this moment...... Not good! Fortunately I was able to pick right up with Reagan's camera. He inherited our prior family camera when we upgraded. His got me through the rest of the day. Thank goodness!

These guys led the way for Maleficent....
ry%3D480

Maleficent was really quite impressive!
ry%3D480

Look at all these cuties!
ry%3D480

I think I'm at my picture limit for this entry so I'll stop here and pick up in the next post with the rest of the parade pictures.

Loving your report so far!
What great character meets!
Your photos are just so detailed, I especially love the Festival of Fantasy Parade ones :)

Great pics at Pete's Silly Sideshow!

I'm glad Reagan's first time on BTMRR was a good one!

Great parade pics, especially love the one of the dwarfs!

I left off right in the middle of the parade and it took me quite a few days to get back here for an update. Those cute Dwarfs had just passed and Jiminy Cricket wasn't far behind them. More cuteness!
ry%3D480

More fabulous costumes!
ry%3D480

Alice and the White Rabbit...
ry%3D480

By the way this dwarf is covering his eyes I'm assuming he is Bashful...
ry%3D480

This piggy-back dwarf costume is the most clever idea! Looks like Dopey is asking Reagan to give him five...
ry%3D480

Such a gorgeous float! So many of them were absolutely perfect!
ry%3D480

Pluto!
ry%3D480

Dale, Goofy and Chip are in beautiful costumes for this parade!
ry%3D480

And last but not least.... Mickey and Minnie in a hot air balloon!
ry%3D480

SO cute!
ry%3D480

And that wraps up the Festival of Fantasy parade...
ry%3D480

My Mom and Reagan were feeling a bit worn out from their busy Magic Kingdom morning. They wanted to head back to Pop Century, enjoy the pool and just relax. I still had a lot of Magic Kingdom that I wanted to experience so we decided to part ways. Everyone seemed happy with this arrangement. I did begin to joke about how future trips we were going to have to prepare with Disney Boot Camp which would include walking 13 miles a day on 5 hours of sleep. I sent them on their way to the hotel and I decided to ride Pirates of the Caribbean. YaY!pirate:

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Wench Auction....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

And back outside...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Look who I spotted across the way...
ry%3D480

"Dead Men Tell No Tales"...
ry%3D480

I passed by the Jungle Cruise next but the wait time was longer than I preferred. I never made it back this trip but plan to make sure I get to it this summer.
ry%3D480

More Adventureland coming up....

The rest of your parade pictures are, of course, great!

Disney Boot Camp :rotfl: But it's good that you guys were able to compromise and split up!

Hey Brenda! Really enjoying your TR (:

I cannot believe that you can dress duffy and get a certificate. That is the best thing ever.

Can't wait for more!

After Pirates my next stop was the Tiki Room!
ry%3D480

My friends were behind closed doors but this is still a pretty scene...
ry%3D480

It started to rain while we were in there but was magically cleared up by the time we were back outside. #disneymagic
ry%3D480

Pierre....
ry%3D480

And the grand finale....
ry%3D480

Next I checked to see if Aladdin and Jasmine were available in Agrabah. I kept just missing them.....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I made my way through the Swiss Family Treehouse. I watched this movie with Reagan just prior to the trip.
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

A river view from the treehouse....
ry%3D480

very clever handiwork....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

The Jungle Lookout...
ry%3D480

Kitchen area...
ry%3D480

kitchenside creek...
ry%3D480

Next on my Disney "to do" list was a Dole Whip! *licks lips* There was a little potted plant along side with a pineapple growing. You gotta love those Disney details!
ry%3D480

Signage....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I could really go for one of these right about now... Yum!
ry%3D480

The nearby leaky tikis....
ry%3D480

Next Up.... Fairies!

This was my first visit to Pixie Hollow! At the time that I was there Rosetta was greeting along with Tink. They were both incredibly chatty and charming. Since Reagan and my Mom had headed back to the hotel for some rest I was in charge of getting the autographs myself....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

The scene they greet within is so cute. LOVE that upside down teacup!
ry%3D480

This little guy was hiding off to the side...
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Some of the Pixie Hollow treasures that fill the scene.
ry%3D480

Tink was cute as can be....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

When I left Adventureland I made my way through Frontierland. This trio was performing outside of the Country Bear Jamboree....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

ry%3D480

I was heading to Tomorrowland via the front of the castle where the show was taking place...
ry%3D480

I gave a bit of attention to the statues surrounding the Partners Statue....
ry%3D480

ry%3D480

Walt and Mickey....
ry%3D480

I passed these cuties which made me even more excited for the Flower and Garden festivities we'd be enjoying the next day.
ry%3D480

There was a photo pass photographer along the way so I grabbed a castle shot...
ry%3D480

Tomorrowland up next....
