Hello everybody! Welcome to my first dining report, EVER (hopefully the first of many!) My boyfriend (*Fiance)and I will be headed to Walt Disney World August 19-26 with Deluxe dining. Soo exciting. Here is our formal introduction.

Me - Melissa, 25 year old pediatric nurse. I've been to Disney multiple times with my family growing up, but my most recent trip was in 2003 when I was going into my senior year of high school (unless you count 1 day in EPCOT on the way back to NY after a road trip). I've been dating the most incredible guy for the last several months (since November 27, 2010). We knew each other for many many years before that. I'll get into him in a minute.

Here is a picture of me in San Francisco taken not too long ago. I've lost 10lbs since this picture was taken! My bf (*fiance)and I have been on Weight Watchers together since 2/27/2011. We are pretty much neck and neck for our weight loss, right at 40lbs a piece. Part of our trip will be trying to maintain that weight loss, and not gain too much during the trip! And of course we will be right back to Weight Watchers when we return!

Mike - 25 year old marketing/sales guy. Works from home, which is pretty awesome if you ask me! He's made 2 previous trips to Disney, the last one being in 2008 with his parents, 2 sisters and their husbands and his three nephews! Mike is not big on roller coasters or fast rides, but has an open mind about riding them with me, as I've been on them all. He knows a TON about planes, but does not really like flying, though he has done it several times. Also, Mike is fascinated by public transportation, and therefore there is a lot of appeal in Disney's transportation system. He'll be the one telling us how to get from point A to point B.

Here is a picture of Mike in San Francisco.

We live together in a 2 bedroom townhouse in Upstate NY. With my (our) dog Addy. Addy will be heading to "camp" while we are away. Camp = her breeder's house! She loves it there and always has the best time. Addy is a 22 month old chocolate lab. She loves life and food...

Here is Addy this winter

I'm in! Looks like a great trip. Congrats on the weight loss. It's not easy...I respect anyone that can stay on the wagon.

Congratulations on your first trip together and your weight loss! May you have many more trips and pounds lost together! You have alot of great meals planned. Jiko and Yachtsman are two of my favorites. My husband and I did deluxe dining last year. After the first day we ended up splitting alot! We are not huge eaters anyway and found that if we both ate our own app, entree and dessert we felt sick! Plus, you have snacks included on the plan so its not like you cant get something between meals if you are still hungry! Have a great time!

Congrats on the weight loss! Your ADR line-up looks great!

How fun!! You'll be going right before I am. I'll be on the lookout for your reviews when you come back. I've never tried some of the places that you've got on your ADR list so I'm anxious to see what you think of them. Have a great time and congrats on the weight loss. Cute doggie by the way!

Hi there. Just a little coincidence to mention. I am 48 pounds into my weight loss plan, my goal is also not to gain too much at disney and get right back on the wagon (we visit in December).

My 24 month old (mostly) chocolate lab was named Addy when we got her from the rescue group, but we changed her name to Maddy since her sister is Abby. Aren't chocolate labs great?

Looking forward to your reviews.

Michelle

Congrats on the weight loss! I will be trying to recommit to WW when we get back from our trip. Love your line up!

I'm in.....you have plans to eat at some of the same places DH & I will be eating at in October so I am interested to see your reviews.

Hello from another chocolate lab lover! My girl is almost 8 and doesn't show any signs of slowing down yet. Looking forward to your reviews!

Have a great trip and congrats on the weight loss. Addy is adorable! Have fun and look forward to reading your reviews when you return.

Thanks! It actually hasn't been too bad losing it. The small goals keep me going. I've dropped my BMI from 36.2 to 29.7 which feels really good to see!!

That's good to know! We are playing it by ear, but yes, it seems like a TON of food. I'm hoping the heat and the walking will burn off all the calories!

Congrats on the weight loss! Your ADR line-up looks great!

Thanks! There was a lot of planning in that ADR line up, and I'm already planning where I will go on my next trip! I'm addicted!

I'm hoping to remember to take TONS of pics, so there should be a lot of food porn in my reviews! Also, Mike and I rarely order the same thing (that way we get to try two different things, so that makes it even more pics! Mike always says that I pick the better meals!

Thats so funny! I have a goal to be down 45lbs by a wedding I'm in on September 23, so I can gain a little this trip, and am therefore not stressing about food. Also, we have plans to run in the mornings or work out!

Addy is a great dog, just a little beastly. She definitely keeps me on my toes. She's way too smart! I've only met one other Addy (spelled Addie after Adelaide, Australia), so that is really crazy! Addy's registered name is "Some Added Spice".

No kidding. Everyone talks about how they slow down at 2 years...yeah, right.

Have a great trip and congrats on the weight loss. Addy is adorable! Have fun and look forward to reading your reviews when you return.

Thanks!

So we are only five days away from our trip and I just wanted to update that last night mike proposed to me! Looked like DBF is now DF!

As much as it would have been cool to get engaged in Disney, it would have been difficult. Mike can be a nervous person and for him to travel on the plane with the ring would have been nerve-racking! At least we will be celebrating our engagement there! Time to modify my reservations!

Congratulations!:bride:

What a wonderful reason to celebrate at Disney World!

Congrats on your engagement:cloud9: looking forward to reading your food report. Your dog is beaut. We have a black lab.:goodvibes

congrats!!

I've been on WW for a few months now so I'm really interested to see how you do on this trip. Looking forward to your reviews!

Hey!! Just for an update, we are leaving in the morning! Probably heading for the airport in less than 8 hours to catch out 7:30am flight direct out of Albany to Orlando!! We've spent the last week getting super excited to go on this trip, our first trip as an engaged couple!!

I did go through and note on many of our reservations that we are celebrating our engagement. Not sure what sort of extras this may bring, but the hotel knows, and many of the restaurants will too! We cannot wait to share our trip with you!!
