A discount just came up for my dates...

I booked my July reservation at BC with no discount and now a 25% discount just came out for my dates. If I call, will they apply the discount to my existing reservation? I see no way to make a modification online, it says I have to call for all changes. Thanks.

It is much faster to just book another reservation and then cancel the full price one later.

Hold times are insane.

Sometimes I can cancel on desktop sometimes I need to do it in the app. FYI

Thanks so much - I have indeed been on hold for an hour at this point. I am nervous about cancelling and rebooking because we have a Deluxe room, and those are so hard to come by. I would hate to lose it if I weren't quick enough to rebook!

You can have more than one reservation at a time. I do it all the time while I wait for family to make a decision etc.

It's always better to book the new (discounted) reservation first then cancel the full-price reservation. Also, realize that the room you want might not be available at a discount.

Edited to add: Have you checked if your room is in the discount inventory at BC? Just because a discount has been released for your dates doesn't mean your room category is in the discount inventory for your travel dates.

I'm trying to figure that out - there is no availability at BC, in any category, for my dates, so I can't find that out online. Guess I'll just have to stay on hold on this phone call!

Note, the BC discount that just came out is 15%, not 25%.

Just from my limited searching in July, it seems like it is very slim pickings in terms of discount availability.

While never say never, I would be surprised if the very few Deluxe Room category rooms have an available discount.

I appreciate that, thank you. At $650+/night, even a 15% discount would be welcome! But maybe I'll strike out.

If you are seeing it online, do what others have said. Book THAT and then cancel the other reservation.

Hi. How were you able to modify your reservation online? I can't find a place to do that and like a PP said the wait time on the phone is LONG....2 hrs. I feel like by the time they return my call back, the discounted rooms will be gone!

I went to the website instead of the app and hit change my reservation. At the top of the page it showed my current special and had a change option there. It then gave me an option to choose the new special. It saved us right at $900!

We are arriving on the 10th. Do I need to switch to a split stay with two reservations (one night on 7/10 and then a new arrival on 07/11 for the rest of the days) to qualify? Or does anyone know an easier way to take advantage of it for the bulk of our dates?

I'm guessing that will also delay my ADR window for most of the trip by one day.

The discount is based on arrival date, so you would need to check-in on or after 7/11 to get the discount, so a split stay would work. I believe the spring discount offer was for arrivals thru 7/10 if still available.
