I have lurked here for a while and finally decided to join in one of the exchanges.
I got flamed pretty bad on my first topic I ever posted. To be honest I am not feeling all that welcome at all, and not really wanting to post either.

I know we all have different opinions, but to flame someone for being upset is just plain wrong.
To each their own though. I guess not everyone can be happy and try and listen to/help others without having to be mean.
Some are just like that I guess!
Also, I should clarify. I am always worried about Internet security and my real life identity being found out (all those news stories scare the heck out of me).
Anyway I was not completely truthful in my post. I have a son, not a daughter, and I feel bad for kinda lying. My son is 9. And someone asked where we live. We live in the Southwest!

I saw you getting flamed too, and I feel for you. Some people have real hot buttons here, you never know who, or what they are, but I guess with such a mix of so many people in one place that's bound to happen. Just let it go, don't take anything personal here (like some people), and if something is personal here and you post about it, just remember someone will have an opinion and feel it's their duty to let you know allllll about it.
I just stick to the lighter topics, even after being here for almost 2 years I feel like a "newbie" myself.
Bottom line is, just enjoy the DIS, it really is fun and has tons of info!
