A difficult question.

I have been in your shoes several times.
If you dont have to sell dont..ie rent out your points for a few years. ..you will miss owning DVC..very easy to be spoiled with it.
If you realy need the money, just recall you can buy again and since you will be more wiser next time buying you may get a better deal for you.
I have been lucky I bought and resold out of desperation and both times while I didnt "make money" I didnt lose any either which means the trips I did take on the points I had were essentially "free"(the room part)

No matter what, as a small business owner myself I, too, hope the economy improves..wont be much room left in the welfare line if it doesnt
