A different type (?) of stroller Q

OK, I'm asking this question now because we will be stroller shopping soon. I am looking for a good, sturdy double stroller (no side-by-sides since they don't do well shopping at the mall & I do have a double jogger that is side by side). I want one that will be fairly easy out and about; in addition to Disney yearly we have season passes to Sea World (San Antonio), go to the zoo a lot, visit Museums, Six Flags, etc. It doesn't need to be overtly light, but easy to manuever. I'm about 5 months pregnant with DS#3 and DS#2 will only be 18 months when he gets here and is very tiny (half the size of DS#1 at the same age), so we'll be using this stroller for a while and need something durable. I want a big basket for lots of storage that is easy to get to (my sit-n-stand has a big basket, but it almost impossible to access when the kids are using it). And I want the kids to be comfortable. A travel system option isn't necessary, but a big plus.

I've heard a lot of good things about Peg pergo & MacClarens (excuse my spelling) generally, but nothing specific--especially with doubles. Of course, I'm open to any brand and right now I'm not even considering price. I did that with our single jogger and regretted it big time--our double jogger was expensive, but super nice & worth every penny, that's what I'm taking to WDW next month as DS#1 is only 4. I just want good value despite the price tag. At least therotically at this point.

TIA for your help/recommendations

I have 3 girls, the last 2 are 18 months apart. I did my research and ended up with the Evenflo Take Me Too Premier Tandem. My reasons...

- 1 hand fold - so easy and really works well
- removable cup holders (for going narrow places)
- step up for my toddler to access the rear seat herself
- accepts ANY baby bucket car seat in the back seat (use the strap)
- full recline in rear (can easily change a diaper)
- huge basket
- cost $300 Canadian

Now 2 weeks ago we purchased a side by side jogger (also $300.00 Canadian), as the little one is now 8 months and doesn't want to be in the back and neither does her sister. We use the tandem as the mall stroller (stays in my truck) and the other stays in the garage for walks and is our travel stroller (coming to WDW in 8 days with us). The girls are old enough that they like to see each other and the older one likes to walk alot more now so even my 9 year old can take a break in it.

My suggestion.....you will find needs for both. You won't think so, but it may come up. I originally was going to buy the Peg Duette and am so glad I didn't as it would have been a huge waste of money to sit in my trunk.

After researching on the net I found the easiest thing was to go into the stores and try to fold each one - I went with the easiest to fold & lift as we are out ALOT!

Good Luck!
