Hope someone could help...

OK, how would you handle this scenario:

Say we need rooms for 8 people for 5 nights.

And we could get:

1 studio for 3 nights
2 br for all 5 nights

The people in the studio will move into the 2br for the last 2 nights.
How would you reserve the room? Would you add all 8 names into the 2br?
Or would you just move in without notifying front desk.
It would be nice to have the extra room keys but not 100% necessary.

I'm not sure if DVC even let you have the same people in 2 rooms.

Any past experience with this situation?

You could probably get the studio keys to work for both rooms. As long as you don't have the dining plan it should work out.

Ooh really... Thanks for the info.

Just show the studio people arriving on date xx for the 2 bedroom. You will be given their room keys when you check in or they can pick them up when they move.

We do 5 days with 8 people in a 2 bedroom all the time for the Daytona 500. The party never ends.

That's good to know they can do that. I wasn't sure they could. But I guess since we don't do DDP or tix there's no reason they can't. Thanks for the info!

:rotfl2: I'm sure it was fun! I just think DH, DD & I need a bit more separate space than the rest of the family hehe...

I will admitt that if you put 8 in a 2 bedroom, you better all like each other. We have always hand picked the other 3 couples. Choose wisely and let the party begin.
