a different trip insurance question

After I booked our first ever Disney Cruise through a travel agent, I was not intending to get the Disney insurance. Being I wasn't sure which insurance I was going to purchase , the TA asked if I would like the insurance to be left on. She said she could leave it on and then take the price off before my final payment. I did choose to leave the insurance on for now.

Then I went online to book insurance through CSA. The site was down so I phoned. I was interested in the silver plan. I told the person on the phone I just booked the cruise and understood I needed to get the insurance within 7-14 days of booking the cruise to cover the preexisting condition part. He said I didn't. It ended up that I didn't get the insurance then. That was a month ago.

I keep thinking I need to get the insurance but am holding off until we book the airfare. Direct airfare is so high now, I'm not sure I will go. We planned the trip for 2 weeks before Easter. I have until January to make my final DCL payment. My question is, does anyone know if this guy with CSA would have known what he was talking about? At this point, should I just go with the Disney insurance if we end up going? This trip insurance stuff is confusing!

Hi,

The last 4 times we have gone on vacation anywhere, they have always stated as the DCL rep told you.

Anyone else know different? You may want to check again with CSA. In fact the first two times we bought travel ins. it was with them.
