how do you personalize your stroller, just in case someone else tries to think it is theirs and walk off with it. We just got our double jogger and I want to do something to make it "ours" but just don't know what. Any ideas.
TIA
Lori

I bought some fun and funky ribbon...2 patterns... and tied a few strips of it to the handle and some to our camera bag. I actually tied it to all our luggage. That way you can see it at a glance that it's yours. If there were to be any doubts you'd have the bag with matching ribbon on it to but the doubt to rest!

I created a laminated 8 x 10 sign for it for disney. I put our last name in huge font and cell phone number on it, and then added pictures of some characters by using photoshop. Then I laminated it and punched holes on the top, and attached it to the stroller with zip ties. It stood out and was very easy to spot.

Here's the back of my stroller. I had links going from one handle to the other plus a premade "curly ribbon bow" (bought from walmart, attached with a hairband) hanging from the one handle. Also, you can't see it in the picture very well, but the same handle with the ribbon, I made a luggage tag with our contact info. All of these things I attached below the carrying strap, primarily to make it difficult for someone to "unpersonalize" just in case. Also, I printed out skinny pieces of paper with our contact info again and used packing tape to label our stroller on the cross bars underneath. Again, someplace not very noticable, so just in case our stroller was "lost", we could keep an eye out for it so to speak. :rotfl: I want to say here, that I wasn't concerned in the least about our stroller being taken, but thought I'd take some precautionary steps.

And, you'll see my sons water bottle which hung there the whole time and my husbands hat, which was there most of the time as well. Neither part of the personalization plan, but ended up being part of it. :thumbsup2

I really didn't need to personalize my stroller this year, as I never saw another one like it on this trip. When we went in 2006, I only saw one that whole trip in the same pattern/colors, but that was the model year/colors on my Maclaren Triumph.

I have a bright yellow camping towel i tie it to the stroller handle. plus i took a sharpie and wrote my name on the bottom of the tray on the stroller. that way no one will notice it plus if someone got the bright idea to take it i can clearly show it is mine . This has never happend thankfully though. plus now i have a small towel thats dries quickly in case it rains ( which it always does ) if we need to wipe down a wet seat,or if we need to wash sticky hands or faces etc I could also use it just to wet it and cool down also but its orriginal pourpose is to dry off DD after she goes into the Donald Duck boat , sprinkler at Ec etc.i got mine at Walmart for about $4.00 :)

DH wrote our last name in black perm marker across the inside back of the stroller seat. When DS is in the stroller, you can't see it, but when no kid is seated, you see our name. No one can put their kid in w/o realizing it's not theirs.

By the way...
Nice stroller Dannielle_1! We love ours. I have seen several pictures of the same posted here on the Dis on different stroller threads, but have only seen a few in the parks.

I saw your picture and I was thinking, "Hey, that looks like my stroller!" We love ours too. I like how you embroidered (at least that's what it looks like) your name onto the strap & bag, in a coordinating/matching color no less. I made sure my personalizations didn't clash with my stroller; I'm a bit crazy with that kind of thing.
Notice my son's water bottle even goes :upsidedow

Yes, I had our name embroidered on the on the strap and cup holder.

When I saw your picture I did notice that everything matched. It caught my eye that there were no orange or pink links and I thought to myself, that is something I would do. I also like when everything coordinates!
See even the stroller fan matches.

DH thinks I am crazy! Glad to see I am not the only one.

Back to the personalization...
We also added the RayShade to our stroller. We usually pull it down over the seat when we park the stroller. This is to help prevent the "mistaken" stroller swap. Usually if a stroller is "mistaken" they are looking for a stroller to throw their kid in and go, this is just one extra step to have to pull the shade up and out of the way before you can put the kid in.
