On Monday we woke up and headed for a good long walk to Golden Corral for a buffet breakfast.
We'd done GC last year and very much enjoyed it so were very much looking forwards to going again. Boy, weren't we disappointed!
Last year the place was relatively empty (but, then, we didn't go on Labor Day last year

) and had a waitress (or do you call them servers?) who was very attentive and helped us out with drinks and things. The food was great and everything was plentiful and fresh.
This time it was busier than Ikea on a Bank Holiday and our waiter was rushed off his feet so had no time for us at all, apart from to splash a coffee on the table for J. The lines were huge and the food was constantly in need of refreshment and refilling and it was all cold. I don't think I've waited so long in a line for juice, either!
However, enough of this moaning! On to Epcot!
We walked back to the hotel then jumped on the bus for Epcot where our first stop was Spaceship Earth! We were so hot walking to and from GC and then walking into Epcot that the AC was the best thing about the ride! That said, Spaceship Earth never gets old and we had a good laugh with the 'Designing your future' bit at the end of the ride!
We journeyed to Land next to grab some Soarin' fast passes then jumped on Living With The Land. It's a really interesting ride but the best bit is the greenhouses where all of the plants are grown (a bit obvious, really, what else would you do in a greenhouse?!). I'd encourage everyone to go on it because it is really cool to see the kinds of things that are grown and the methods used to grow them!
We scuttled across the park, next, to ride Test Track. J had never been on it (it was broke down every time we went near it last year!) so he was really excited. He liked the ride so much (especially the queuing area) that we had to do it twice! He's like a big kid!
We had some time to kill before our Soarin' FP's came on so we strolled through Mouse Gear (pointing out all the things we'd like to buy; the list is twice as long as my arm and four times as expensive so far!) before heading to do Finding Nemo. J had never done this one either but it wasn't the best ride (again, the AC was the best part!). The area after the ride, though, was awesome and we spent quite a while there taking pictures and getting some video of the fish for our vlog.
We by-passed turtle-talk and headed, instead, for Imagination; another ride J hadn't been on. He was, needless to say, unimpressed! The ride really hasn't aged well and it's a bit on the ropey side :S but we had a good laugh all the way around and did enjoy ourselves after all
Finally, our Soarin' time had come! We both really love this ride and it really makes me want to visit California! The only problem is that the queuing areas for Soarin' are possibly some of the least imaginative in all the parks (once you get past the games, that is, but we passed those by - fast pass, don't you know?!

). However, he had as awesome a time as ever and still very much love riding Soarin'
We'd planned the next step of our journey well in advance and have taken pains to take piccies of everything as we...
ATE AROUND THE WORLD!
(NB: I will get some of these names wrong

)
First stop; Mexico!
We had the Tacos del Carne, they were pretty good but we saw someone having Nachos and wished like hell that we'd got those

We rode the Three Caballeros ride here too, it's always funny!

Next; Norway and a sweet pretzel then the Maelstrom ride!

In China we had the Shrimp Fried Rice and Egg Roll which was really rather nice! We didn't take in the show but we did learn that duck sauce tastes of nothing

Next; Germany and Wurst! We had the Bratwurst which was very good! The sauerkraut was awesome, too!

In Italy we opted for a little bit of gelato to help the rest of the food down - cookies and cream may have been a bit rich tho

We decided against fulfilling our obligations to eat in America as we'd been eating American food the entire time we've been here!
We were disappointed, at first, to reach Japan to find that the quick service restaurant (I don't remember the name) was closed and being worked on, so we headed to the shop to buy some sweets so that we could say that we ate something in Japan. However, when we got back outside we saw that they'd set up the quick service replacement by the lagoon wall so we got to have some California rolls after all! The sushi here is really, really good and you should definitely try it - even if you think you might not like it!

After that we hit Morocco and had the Lamb Shawarma Platter - this was one of the best things we've eaten! The Hummus was brilliant, the Cous Cous was fantastic and the bread and lamb itself was great!
<a href="http://s3.photobucket.com/albums/y72/isaachanson/?action=view¤t=SNV83672.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y72/isaachanson/SNV83672.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
In France we opted for chocolate mousse to finish off and it was absolutely lovely! J had to finish mine, though, as I couldn't eat it all I was so full!

We eat British food all the time at home so we don't feel bad about not eating there and I didn't see a traditional Canadian food stand so we had no choice but to not eat anything (we didn't get reservations for Le Cellier

) but we made up for it by watching O' Canada (which made us both really want to visit Canada)!
We found a really good place in Canada to watch Illuminations, which is J's favourite fireworks show, where no one else was standing with only 5 minutes to go before the show started!
After the show we walked faster than we've ever walked before to get out of the park and onto our bus - we were so tired that we just collapsed straight away when we got in!
Tuesday: Animal Kingdom and DHS adventures!
