I'll share about our Segway Tour next. A year ago, we tried out the segways in one of the Innoventions buildings in Epcot, and we loved them. When we found out you can do tours on segways, we knew we'd sign out for our next trip!
We signed up for the Around the World tour, at Epcot. Typically, a tour group would be about 10 people. For some reason, 8 people did not show up. So, we had two tour guides all to ourselves! It was great!!!
We began at the Innoventions building, where they showed us an informational video and then put us through a number of maneuvers to make sure we were ready, before going into the "World" for the tour. Once we were ready, we traveled on the segways through Future World towards Mexico, where the official tour would begin.
The tour is done entirely on the segways, with the tour guides sharing insider knowledge with us on the countries and we could ask questions, along the way. With only the two of us, it was like having Epcot all to ourselves, especially since we did the early morning tour.
Here's the ball, close-up, when we arrived that morning:
At certain locations, the tour guides allow picture taking, like here:
Here are some of the pictures of "The World" as we went through them:
We went in and out of buildings on the segways, too! It was a blast. Here are the two of us together:
Since it was only two of us, we went through the tour more quickly than normal and were given the option to go through England or go the way we came. We chose England and then we went back towards Innoventions.
We've already decided that we want to do the segway tour at Fort Wildnerness. On that tour, they're segways are made for all-wheel drives, with wider bases and wider wheels. That should be cool!
