Sorry it's kinda long..but I had a confusing time trying to order pizza the other nite..felt the need to share...
So I live in a pretty urban area, for those of you in Palm Beach, right by the wellington green mall. Tons of stores, people, ya know? Ok, so my g/f and I went to order a pizza for dinner and we called up pizza hut, which we have ordered from numerous times. So we call the location 2 miles from house, place our order and just hang out waiting for the food to come. Well about 30 minutes later we get a call saying that we called the wrong pizza hut and they gave us the number to "our" pizza hut. Alright, but why did it take 30 min for someone to call us and tell us this? So we call the other pizza hut and spend 5 whole minutes with the lady on the phone just trying to tell her where we live. Umm hello? Doesn't my address come up on the screen?? SO I tell her, about 9 times. She tells me to call a different pizza hut..and guess which number she gives me?? YEP! The first one I called. I told her that they were the ones who told me to call this place. So she puts me on hold. Comes back and tells me that NO pizza hut delivers to my house b/c I am in a "dead area". I live too far from the main road (441). Ummmm, my house is about a half a mile from the main road. I was totally confused. I said ok whatever. Called Dominoes and my pizza was delivered in about 20 min.
Isn't this absurd??? I can understand if I lived out in BFE where there was no human life. But I live on pretty much the busiest road in the city!! I was scratching my head all night trying to figure it out. Oh well I guess...anyone ever heard of this???? strange....
