Very good to know. I have children that don't like sleeping with one another because...one stills the covers.....one kicks.....one talks in their sleep...blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. It's REALLY good to know this. Very much appreciated!

Great info. We bought without seeing an SSR villa. Was wondering how big/small the rooms really are. This helps put the size into perspective.

Thanks!
Kim

Good to know it's not just my boys. Actually it's only one that likes to sleep by himself....every noise, breath, cough, you name it -- bothers him.

OP -- how much space does that air mattress take up when it's deflated?? Did you check it on a plane or did you drive?? We always fly....just wondering how much of a hassle it would be to take one down.

Thanks, we recently bought one on a sale rack. Did you bring your own linens and pillows?

We have one packed in our Owner's Locker so it stays in Orlando. We are planning to use it spring break BUT. . . Does anyone know if a double one will fit in any studios if you are using the pull-out couch too?

The box that the air mattress came in is only approx 5" high x 12" x 14"

Its just a normal air mattress, not an aerobed, no built in pump.

We fly and we packed it in our suitcase. Actually, we packed two...the dbl and a twin as we didnt know which one would fit :rotfl: Very glad the dbl fit (and space to spare) :)

This year we decided to try an Owners Locker so we left both air mattresses.

We only brought 1 bottom sheet, knowing that we would not use all 4 pillows on the king bed. I called for an extra blanket and sheet. When housekeeping came they left clean sheets and another blanket ....:goodvibes How nice

This year we decided to try the owners locker and left the bottom sheet and the air mattress.

Im not sure about the studio, maybe if you did some furniture re-arranging.

I don't think a double will fit in the SSR studio. We were there last March in a studio, and had a twin airbed. It barely fit at the foot of the sofa bed, and there was no where else to put it. Not enough room by the balcony door or between sofa and bed. Now, it might, just might, have fit over in front of the door, but we had all our luggage over there.

thanks for the information. We will be in a 2BR at SSR in August with my DSIL and her family. My DS's 13 and 17 are just to big to share the pull out. We will now be bringing the double air bed.

We sized up the space at the foot of the 2nd bed in the second bedroom and if you move the table & chair the mattress will also fit there.

This is great to know. Having the pictures puts it in perspective.

Thanks!

we used a single mattress Aerobed in a studio room at SSR along with the sofabed pulled out. Not much room left on the floor, but it worked. We just propped up the mattress in the corner during the day and opened up the space. A double won't fit with a sofabed pulled out.
