A Day to Explore - Suggestions

We have a day to explore and hope someone can suggest a nice day trip location. Are there any small quaint towns with shopping, main streets and a nice place for lunch or dinner? We thought about Ocala or Winter Haven, but since we have never been to either we are not sure. Thanks

Check out Winter Park. They have a website, there's a great museum featuring Tiffany stained glass and other decorative arts, you can take a boat tour of the city's lakes and canals. It's really nice.
