A Couple Questions

Hi everybody! This is my first post here and I’m looking to have a few questions about Disney dining answered that my google-fu has been unable to dig up. Hopefully you guys can assist me.

We have our first family trip planned to WDW in November. We’ve already got our ADR’s in place and we’re lucky enough to pretty much get exactly what we were looking for. That being said, the timing to a few of our reservations raise a few questions....

1. We have a 9PM reservation to Chef Mickey’s. I see that the operating hours end at 9:30PM. Is this when they stop seating guests or do they start to break down the buffet at this point? We’re there for the characters but catching the tail end of the buffet isn’t exactly entertaining to me.

2. A similar question. We have a 9:55AM reservation for Hollywood and Vine for the Disney Jr character breakfast. Again, we’re doing this for the characters but does the restaurant actually close between breakfast and lunch or could we possibly eat slowly and turn this meal into a brunch?

Thanks in advance for anyone that chooses to respond to this.

Not sure on the first, but on second, you can get both. A lot of people schedule so that they can get both (but at he lower breakfast cost).

Thanks for the response. That’s pretty ideal for us, hopefully that will let us get by with only two meals that day.

With Hollywood and Vine the characters switch to minnie and friends for lunch and dinner... so I dont know how they do the breakfast to lunch transition.

And the 930 is the last time they seat for dinner... they will not break down service while you are eating!

Maybe I’ll be able to get two character meals for the price of one at H&V. While my kids are definitely Disney Jr aged, they would both love to see the Seasonal Dine too if they could!

Thanks to everybody that’s responded so far!

The review I read where they ate at both was over a year ago, so it is possible they have changed policy. Hopefully someone who has Brent here recently can add in.

I can't speak to those specific times, but we had the last seating time for 1900 Park Fare brunch a few weeks ago. We got tons of character interaction for the first 20-30 minutes, then they went away for the day. We got to eat in peace. They did break down the omelette station, but I'm sure they would have accommodated us had we asked. They did replenish the food that we ate.
We also were the last seating for Tusker House and Chef Mickeys breakfasts and got the best of breakfast and lunch.

We currently have reservations @ H&V for breakfast & lunch - I can't decide which characters we want to see. We'll be there at the end of March - does anyone know if lunch will have 'seasonal' Minnie & friends or just regular?? Any predictions on the disney jr characters to expect in March?
TIA

Breakfast ends at 10:20AM. Lunch doesn't start until 11:20. So you may be sitting there for a long, long time.
